MSNBC: Have a burning question? We have the answers!

Will this team finish .500?

It could be a long season in the nation’s capital. There are just too many question marks for Washington to be at least 8-8. The defense is OK, but Campbell’s growing pains could continue. Actually, this could get very ugly for Daniel Snyder’s team. It will be interesting to see how he handles Gibbs if the Redskins struggle, making it a team to watch, but for all the wrong reasons.

A lot of these writers keep on looking at the past and focus too little on what is going on right now.

His comments on the Defense being just OK is off base a little bit. We now have a very hard hitting secondary to say the least in the NFL. I think the defense will be GREAT!!!

We haven't seen enough of our offense to call it GOOD yet. But I know we will be 10-6 this year, the defense and not Portis will carry us into the playoffs!!! Mark my words!!!

Wow! If you read the rest...

The game has past Joe Gibbs by.

Clinton Portis is shot.

And all Jason Campbell is is the best thing the Redskins have at the position.

Talk about being down on a team. This guy had really nothing positive to say about defensive improvements and the offense being in its second year under Colonel Saunders.

I think it's crazy not to give our defense some more credit. On paper, we have one of the best secondaries in the league and one of the best linebacking corps, as well. Sure, we have a bunch of no-names on the D-line, but if they can just do their jobs our defense could be really great.

And after watching a couple pre-season games, it seems obvious that this group's talent won't just be on paper.

As has been said many times, we were ranked #31 in defense last year. Most of the media aren't scouts. They are guys who like sports and can write several paragraphs with limited grammatical errors. The really good ones are few and far between. To write a column like the one he did and do it well he would have had to do serious indepth coverage of every team which he clearly didn't do. Ask him what he liked best and least about Jason Campbell's preseason performance and his eyes would glaze over like Miss Teen South Carolina.

Hey Zskins, is the pic on the left of Ashwaria Rai (sp?)? She looks a little different if it is, but she is amazing!

Now on to your original post, there is no reason why the media should think we should do well. We are not a team that has proven anything except for a very good season in 2005. Prior to that year and even last year, we come in with a solid team only to completely fall flat on our face.

Thats why I do not blame the media for anything, because they only see what outsiders see and also, you are what your past is, unless you can show a change.

Check out their "All Pro" team...http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14268667/?pg=3#spt_nfl_allpro

Seriously, T.J. Houshmandzadeh 1 of 2 receivers in all of the NFL that you'd pick for this team? He's not even the best receiver on his team.

Kellen Winslow as the TE over Gates, Gonzalez, Shockey, Cooley, Witten, Crumpler? Maybe a few of them if he could actually play a season.

Jammal Brown and Willie Anderson as your bookends?

Terrible.

Actually she is Celina Jaitley. And a lot hotter then Ash!!!

I know we haven't proved anything but at least the writers can say you know they were bad last year and with the upgrade so far they are better now or something. I guess the Skins will shut them all up when the season starts!!!

what does MSNBC know about football again?

Knowledge is power and you don't know that MSNBC is a joint venture between Microsoft and NBC. So you are saying NBC doesn't know anything about sports and don't hire real sport writers.

Ok I am not trying to defend writers here but just like everyone else they can have an opinion. But they need to write a well informed one instead. Thats all.

If they were well-informed, they wouldn't be reaching those conclusions...

I mean you can be a crappy writer but if you made the proper assessment you can still make good predications. Not just look at what others are saying and just repeat them instead of using your own head.

And ofcourse what you said as well.

How can anyone take this homo writer seriously? In the same article he says Wade Phillips could be the answer for the Cowboys and the game has passed Joe Gibbs by.

Wade (frickin) Phillips? Is he kidding? What was the frickin question in which Wade is the answer?

I have a question: What is the Joe Gibbs to Wade Phillips playoff-win multiple? Well, since Wade has NEVER even won a single playoff game, the multiple is infinity.

The two happiest days for me this offseason were when the Skins signed Fletcher and the Cowboys hired Phillips.
