Kurd Cudins
I noticed that too, but I didn't say anything cause I didn't want to jinx it. I think they are coming to some realizations. Ones that don't involve the playoffs.
ouvan59
They'll be back after tomorrow night after they hold the mighty Vikings and Tarvaris Jackson to a FG in the one drive he plays. Then they'll try to convince us that Jackson is a stud.
Popeman38
Ther ereally isn't much left to say for a Boys fan. They bragged about the beatdowns given to the Colts and Broncos, then tried to write off a beatdown at the hands of the AFC power Texans as a simple preseason game. When called on it, they threw a temper tantrum and took their ball and went home.

Like Wade intentionally tossed the game, or that raucous preseason Texan crowd noise was the issue. Is it just me or is Wade Phillips a really poor excuse maker? Wade Phillips is like Miss South Carolina. She looks good until you let her talk. He looks like a good coach, till you hire him. That raucous Texans crowd was at least 60% Cowboy fans. So, if they had issues with the crowd noise, perhaps they should issue a playbook for fans to learn them on the way to cheer.
flashback
Mea culpa. First, it took me a couple of days to watch the game. I had to download it quarter by quarter, and by the time I had actually gotten all of it, and watched all of it, it seemed a little late to post comments about it. Besides, I'm here to enjoy the schadenfreude, not supply it. Some definite problems reared up in the Texans game. The Texans ran right, then ran right, then ran right some more, and the Cowboys didn't have an answer for it. I still don't know if it was Spears fault or not. Aaron Glenn looked like an undrafted rookie out there. There's no way you single up A. Glenn on A. Johnson if the game counts. The offense looked out of sync. 2 false starts, and another play where Gurode snapped the ball before the other 10 guys were ready. Nothing in the running game. Jones running into the pile like it was 2006. They really missed Hoyte and Fasano. Barber trying to make things happen outside, and failing. Romo sits to pee's INT was a bad decision and a bad throw. The real concern has to be special teams. After having trouble covering kickoffs vs. the Colts, they give up a 91-yard punt return TD, after McBriar made a beautiful kick. Grammy more or less kicked himself out of a job. Bruce Read better get his **** together and start earning his paycheck. All in all though, this wasn't any reason to panic and blow up the roster. When the 1st teams were out there, their O scored 2 TDs on our D, and our O scored 2 TDs on their D. Hopefully the Cowboys coaches and players will learn the lessons they were taught. And most importantly, no one was seriously hurt (Burnett should be ready for the season opener).

I still don't know if it was Spears fault or not.The right side is where the Cowboys last three number one picks reside. You can't place blame on ony one of them!Aaron Glenn looked like an undrafted rookie out there. There's no way you single up A. Glenn on A. Johnson if the game counts. If the Newman injury lingers, offensive coordinators will look to put Glenn in position to cover their A. Johnson type wide out!The real concern has to be special teams. With the way this staff was constructed, it is not surprising the ST are experiencing issues. I felt the ST had been some what overlooked by Jerrah as he was backwardly hiring staff. No_Pressure
I noticed this as I was reading thread after thread from tr1 showing the Cowboys scrambling to explain their embarrassment against the Texans and thinking to myself "how long until this blows up?" I checked back in an hour, another hour, another hour and the only responses were Redskins fans basically saying "told ya so" and 1 or 2 decent Cowboys fans saying "There is no excuse for that game". It has been very quiet around here...odd...I bet if they win in Minnesota they will be back talking about going to the superbowl...the traffic will double if Tony Romo sits to pee can manage not to fumble or throw an interception for once. Ken
U skins fans act like our 1st team O didn't outscore theres. I'm hardly concerned because of that game. I AM concerned because of Newman, Ellis, and Glenn. You skins fans should be concerned about your own team.

Of course it gets kind of boring in here without the poke fans to laugh at.... seems queer that when they win, they are always here, but somehow when they lose, especially to a bad team... you can here a pin drop in poke threads strange how that always happens.. just like that
slogriff
Of course it gets kind of boring in here without the poke fans to laugh at....seems queer that when they win, they are always here, but somehow when they lose, especially to a bad team... you can here a pin drop in poke threads strange how that always happens.. just like that Usually a lurker and infrequent poster, so I can't speak for more regular posters but this seems quite logical to me. Wins in the first two games brought discussions with skins fans saying it is just preseason, cowboys game planning, beating up backups, still haven't won a playoff game in a decade, etc and cowboys fans disagreeing with many of those statements. Most fans are going to post on a rival board when they are in disagreement with something. The stronger the disagreement, the more posts. Some skins fans may be disappointed they didn't get to fight with Cowboy fans saying Romo sits to pee is still god, Newman is overrated and we don't need him, cut Ellis and bring on this years def. ROY, Spencer, etc. Others want nothing less than complete genuflecting. You guys are right.... Romo sits to pee can't hold onto the ball, neither Jones/Barber can run the ball, TO and Glenn won't make it through 6 games w/o being knocked out for the season, Bigg Davis is a bust and our O-line is a bigger joke than last year. As should be expected the response seemed to be in between these two scenarios. General acknowledgement that the Boys play was inadequate but disagreement on the long-term prognosis of the team. In the best indicator to date, the Cowboys did not play like a playoff-calibur team. So redskin fans may currently have a leg up to support their position that a playoff-winning Cowboys are a figment of the biased-media, bandwagon fans, and kool-aid drinking America's Team morons. No matter how well the Cowboys may play vs. Minnesota there will be no credit to be gained because they will be mostly backups with little gameplanning on both sides. Once the first game is over ( I say Boys over NYG) this all-important 3rd pre-season "rehearsal" game goes into useless oblivion and disagreements/posts will pick back up. Ax
Hey, it's preseason. Crackboy fans are in mid-season form. Win, and the SOB's are like ****roaches in a dirty kitchen with the lights off. Everywhere! Lose, and the SOB's are like ****roaches on the moon. Nowhere to be found. Basically, they're like ****roaches.
tr1
There's been a lot of bad news for the pukes this week: Their game against the Texans revealed not one or two or three, but four apparent weaknesses...the o-line looked out of synch and shakey, the pass rush wasn't there, and the secondary continues to get torched and the good run game from last year looks like a fluke. The injury picture is bad. Ellis is iffy...Newman has a partial tear that he hopes would be a full tear... This is enough to make the homerish of homer fans shut up for a little while.
