praise_gibbs
The last i heard (last night) that Trotters AGENT had contacted the Broncos and Giants for possible suitors for Trot. Trot said that there is no rush to sign because cut downs are happening and he will then see where he would fit in much better. I took that as he doesn't really want to sign with an NFC east foe. Maybe he eventually will if that is all that wants him but, I don't think that is his intent. :whoknows:

Chachie
Jeremiah is probably interested in whoever will have him. I only know Washington won't.
Alabama Man
I think it was Domo on Daily News Live who made a good point, he is not really suited for a backup role. On third down when you want and extra guy in for the nickel, he can't do it. He really can't run down the field and play special teams either. He is either a starter for a team, or is nothing at all. I think this is it for Trot. He MAY try out for some more teams and may get lucky with a 1 year deal but, other then that, I see him hanging it up. He'll sign a 1 day contract with philly and call it quits.
Inquisitor
I think it was Domo on Daily News Live who made a good point, he is not really suited for a backup role. On third down when you want and extra guy in for the nickel, he can't do it. He really can't run down the field and play special teams either. He is either a starter for a team, or is nothing at all. I may be wrong, but didn't he basically play his way into the starting lineup after his second stint with the Eagles, with his excellent play on Special Teams? I could swear I remember people praising how well he was handling his backup role as well as his intensity on Specials a few years back. I do remember the fact that the Eagles had a pathetic run defense that year, reminiscent of a sieve, and that was also a factor in how Trot got the nod at another starting job. But you shouldn't down play the guy on either role, because he's proven he can handle both admirably in the past. Fact is none of us know exactly how heathly Trotter is, the Redskins thought the guy was finished when they basically ran the him out of town, now it seems to be the Eagles turn. I wouldn't mind having the Giants take a look at the guy, even if it's only intended as a depth move. The Giants haven't had much luck getting their LB's to play a full 16 game schedule, and that includes Pierce. Having a guy like Trotter, with his fire, vet savvy, and run stopping abilities sitting on your bench chomping at the bit to get into a game is a win/win. I have to believe at this point, at this stage of preseason, with training camps wrapped up, he can't really be holding out much hope for a starting gig with many teams. And even if their is a team out there willing to sart him at MLB tomorrow, what kind of team would it be? A mess of a team, with a bleak looking season staring them in the face most likely, that's who. At his age something tells me a guy like Trotter wouldn't be interested in finishing his carrer in a place like that.
Riggins77
Hopefully they learned there lesson with Lavar. Nah, hopefully they take him, pay him a lot of money, he sucks, and they are stuck with him or take a cap hit. **** the Giants.

Gilgamesh
Shouldn't this headline read: "Trotter Interested in any roster spot anywhere" ?
