The Jets provided plenty of fodder for the critics who bashed GM Mike Tannenbaum for trading the disgruntled Kendall, a 10-year starter, to the Redskins for a fifth-round pick in the 2008 draft. Kendall's replacement, rookie Jacob Bender, was simply overwhelmed in his first start at the NFL level, surrendering a sack and at least two pressures....... jnhay
I was listening to Sirius radio the other day and the hosts had a Jets fan call in saying how relieved he was that Kendall was gone because he whined too much. Even though baited into criticizing Kendall the hosts both agreed that the fan shouldn't be happy because the Jets would be missing a good Olineman. Zen-like Todd
Make no mistake, Kendall whined and ****ed and moaned and made a dick out of himself. He did it on purpose, because he is absolutely convinced that the front office essentially lied to him. That's why they shipped him out. Given that his contract demands were met by the Skins, expect him to more or less keep his mouth shut now that he's here.
Gilgamesh
I can't wait to see how our whole line performs once it's together. With a smart vet like Kendall between Samuels and Rabach, it should not take long for good things to happen...

This might be worth a 5th rounder if so.
DiscoBob
I'd be pissed too if I voluntarily cut my salary to help the teams cap situation under the agreement that they would give me a new deal....only to have them stiff me?

Isifhan
Hopefully our defense can carry us through the first three or four games of the season. I really think that it's going to take some time for the O-Line to gel and get back to where it was at the end of last season. With Samuels gone in the preseason never having played with Kendall before and Portis out the entire preseason no one can reasonably expect us to have a good rushing attack the first couple of games. I think, however by the time they do come together the O-Line will be a force to reckon with. I just hope people don't freak out in the meantime. The problem is when our starters are out. If so, our Oline isn't gonna be much of a force. Lets face it, the Redskins starting team is pretty solid, but our bench players aren't the quality of say, New England's or anyone like that. Major Harris
I think moss was a winning trade  i'm happy with moss, and am still glad we made the trade. but in the two years since the trade, moss outplayed coles one year and vice versa. an outsiders perspective probably wouldn't conclude that we are the clear cut winners of that deal. Isifhan
but our bench players aren't the quality of say, New England's or anyone like that. As far as the o-line goes I dunno. Can we say that Wesley Britt, Russ Hochstein, and Ryan O'Callaghan are significantly better than Wade, Pucillo and Heyer? I think if anyone has to rely on their backups for a significant amount of time they are at a big disadvantage.

I would quickly say Moss > Coles - we easily got the best of that trade. Last year, moss had a higher yards per catch average and had 6 touchdowns, same as Coles and Moss was INJURED. Moss is healthy this year and will blow Coles away yet again.
