DCranon21
I live like 5-10 minutes away from the stadium. I had a chance to go to the game, when a buddy of mine called and said he had an extra ticket. But as soon as I walked outside and seen that bolt, I told myself, I'll sit this one out and watch it on the box  .
BleedBNG
would the game have been called if it were a regular season game? I'm sure if it were a 1pm or maybe a 4pm game they would probably wait it out. We left about an hour after the game was over and there were still lightning bolts flashing around. And some guy told us that a couple of more cells were on the way. If they had continued this one... around 1:30am or 2am maybe. The game didn't count... wouldn't have made sense to try and continue it. All in all, I had a great time anyways. When the players were leaving the field I was  at first, but then thought... Oh well, WE WON!! A couple of Ratbird fans behind us said "Yeah, typical Redskin decision." I just told him we were only saving them from any further embarrassment. RedskinsDave
I guess I'm not the only person who thinks the preseason is a joke. You guys who think it's some honor to pay full price can keep doing so. I'll hope Goodell does something about it. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writers/peter_king/08/26/mmqb/index.html Goodell is not the first commissioner who knew there was something wrong with asking the customers to pay regular-season prices for these stupid games. Paul Tagliabue also found it increasingly hard to take, trying to get fans fired up for the regular season by making them watch backup players in half-empty stadiums when season-ticket-holders couldn't even give the seats away
skinsfan44
It hasn't rained on gameday since Dan Snyder purchased the team. Maybe a little mist, but nothing more than that. >> Really?? The few of us who stayed to watch Stephen Davis break the season season rushing record and Marty win his final game to finish 8-8 will strongly beg to differ with you on that point. The Washington Times said that everybody who stayed to the end of that game were true Redskins fans and deserved free season tickets for life. I put a copy of that in with my ticket invoice the following year asking if I could get upgraded.....(and I got nothing). I was there to the end of that game also. It was the game against the Cardinals (Pat Tillman’s last game before he was shipped to Afghanistan) and it was a make-up game because of 9/11. That was one miserable game with all the rain and sleet with the temps hovering around the freezing point. As season ticket holders, we don't have a choice in NOT buying pre-season tickets (unlike under JKC) so public relations wise; Snyder should give something back to all who attended a small discount at the Redskins stores or something like that at least. tone_dubbz
This is why they need to put a roof on Fedex. haha, no doubt. It will definitely help with the sun being in your eyes during the games!!!

They used to play one game a year in preseason at RFK and it would sell out. Then they started playing 2 games a year and they did not sell out. Shortly thereafter, it became mandatory. Bacon
My prediction: If we have a losing season this year, RedskinsDave will make a thread asking for ExtremeSkins moderators to give him a refund on his season tickets. The reason: "They expect us to pay full price for a team that's only using half their ass????" :2cents:
MarkB452
That's a ridiculous argument. I prefer to call b.s. since I've been paying for tickets for 20 years and am a little tired of paying full price for games that don't even count and now don't even finish. >> We paid for 10 games, not 9 1/2. Danny should have rescheduled it for Sunday or refunded it, instead he ripped us off.... Given all the ways Danny has managed to wring money out of his loyal fan base, I amazed at how many people are willing to say it's OK. BTW, I noticed that some ticket brokers say they will refund your money if the game is cancelled (but not stubhub). Has anybody been able to get a refund for this game from a ticket broker?? It used to be this way. I think the policy changed in the late 1980's - early 1990's. The article is a good one. I would love to see the league go to 3 preseason games and 17 regular season games. Check the fine print though. >> I've looked on the back of the ticket and on the Redskins web site. The situation that happened is not covered in any of the ticket policies (though the back of the ticket is adamant about No refunds). The only thing I can find that is anywhere close to this was the 2001 UVA Basketball game that was ended early due to poor conditions on the court (see previous post) and we got our money back for that one (except for the parking as we had paid to park in a cash lot). Well, I think you you are probably out of luck along with me and everybody else that buys those $8.00 beers and complains about them after we have already pissed them out. But you could pickett Dans office and threaten to plant trees on his property. Maybe you could get a hat or a cushion or something.
kevinklein
Nice picture, Bub. I was at the game. It was a scene. Oh well, at least now I can say "Hey, remember that Ravens/Skins game that got stormed out? I was there."
Geoff_K
No one said it was Danny's call. It is his call to charge us full price for these games that mean nothing. We don't have to choice but to pay for them. We deserve a refund, plain and simple. You seem to be angry you paid full price, did you now know this before you got to the park ? If it meant "nothing" how smart was it on your part to pay full price ?
allan1058
Yeah since we haven't had any bad seasons in the 20 years I've been paying for season tickets have we? Go pull that on someone who stops going. I still do but I have certain expectations. I guess you don't. I think you should take "Danny" to Judge Judy!!! or the Peoples Court haha I still had a great time, regardless of the weather! We were drinking beers and chatting it up with everybody. But I guess since your personality sucks you were prob bored out of your mind on the concourse since nobody would talk with you.
