Why was the game called????

Do they give you your money back when they call a baseball game early?

>> Most of the baseball games I have been to say that if they don't play 5 innings ( 4 1/2 if the home team is ahead), your ticket is good to another game.

I don't think Danny is going to do that, but giving say a 20% credit on face value to the Redskins store for a Ravens game ticket would be good customer service. :2cents:

It hasn't rained on gameday since Dan Snyder purchased the team. Maybe a little mist, but nothing more than that.

>> Really?? The few of us who stayed to watch Stephen Davis break the season season rushing record and Marty win his final game to finish 8-8 will strongly beg to differ with you on that point. The Washington Times said that everybody who stayed to the end of that game were true Redskins fans and deserved free season tickets for life. I put a copy of that in with my ticket invoice the following year asking if I could get upgraded.....(and I got nothing).

I must have missed where I asked you to get me my money back. I figured I would post something on Danny's little site and see what people thought. I should have figured you'd all be the good lemmings and make sure he gets to keep all the money. Of course the people who seem to think I should get over it aren't season ticket holders and it's obvious.

Just judging by the fact that you keep calling him Danny and keep insinuating that you knew what our response would be, that tells me that you are trolling for negative responses. It has nothing to do with anyone being a lemming -- you are looking for negative attention and getting it. I hope you're not really 37.

it was my dads, my brothers, and my first time ever going to see a pro football game. we sit down get some hotdogs and fries and cokes. we eat our stuff and they tell us to go to cover concourses. we talk to some dude from leesburg while we wait it out. they let us back and we were pumped. the special teams play by landry pumped my section, 417 for the rest of the game. i lost my voice after the TD by Sartz. the next series when those lights went out and the thunder everyone was like damn!! the ref suspended it then the security dude told us that the game was called so we head back to the bus and catch a ride back to my bros car and head back to VA. i extended my streak of games I go to my team wins. first time i go to a pro game it gets called, sucks doesnt it? :( other than all that rain and lightning we had a blast watchin the skins.

No, I was hoping other season ticket holders would agree. I guess none post here.

What am I supposed to call him? His name is Danny. I surprised but not shocked people are defending season ticket holders getting ripped off. Especially when those doing the defending watch the games from their parent's couch.

Hey Dave, you done with the crybaby, playground type insults routine so we can give you back your binky or do you have some more to do? Just asking because when we give it back to you we can arrange to put some Valium on it.

Park City, Utah. Nuff said.

:whew: Ouch. Skewered by the rapier wit of RedskinsDave. I'm going to leave now before he breaks out with something equally sharp if not sharper. Like "Oh yeah?" or "And another thing".

Dave did it ever to occur to you that the responses you're getting are perhaps ,in part, because of the way you're going about things. Some fans may not be pissed. Some fans may have had a good time anyway. Simply put, some fans just may not see the same way. Attacking those that don't from that fragile little roof your shouting from isn't exactly the best way to get sympathy for the cause there. Perhaps toning it down a few notches and trying to be a bit more grown up about it may help. Then again your history is one of coming here an ****ing and moaning about Dan Snyder for one thing or another and then leaving again so maybe that approach never occured to you.

The responses to my original post were the typical "no one is forcing you to buy tickets" b.s. and by folks who don't even buy tickets. Do any season ticket holders even post here or is everyone from other states and towns?

I do come here to ***** about Snyder since I figure his employees will pass along the info. It worked for the port-a-jons didn't it?

Maybe, but you'll notice that several posters in this thread were at the game and did buy tickets. And they ain't ****ing. As for the port-a-johns, that's not what happened if I read that correctly. You were directed to ask Dan Snyder himself I believe,(during a chat), about that situation. You did, he directed you to another fellow who would help out, and it was resovled. Just that easy. And I'm not sure who you are referring too as "his employees."

I actually haven't seen comments from several people who were at the game, at least no season ticket holders. The folks who have commented either live far away or were there on someone else's dime.

Read again. And I can tell you right now, I know of at least one poster,(who didn't say so), who is a season ticket holder. It would bode you well to stop assuming things.. Assumptions are based on what you think you know instead of what you know. And in this case, you don't seem to know whole lot. That's on you. And you may want to knock off this act that makes you think you're somehow enabled to ***** more because you buy season tickets as opposed to those who by them week by week, (no cheap affair there either. Especially for those who can't afford season tickets).

I enjoyed a brief pre-game tailgate with my friends, got to see a 40-yd pass to Santana and some very nice plays by the young talent on our D. At the point the game was halted, Brunell and other 2nd and 3rd team people were rotating in. I was absolutely ready to call it quits at that point, and by the time I got home it was 1am. The alternatives? Extend the game and we leave at 4am, or come back and do another preseason game? Not! I do have issues with the # of preseason games and the face value being the same as a regular season game, but I don't feel like I was shortchanged because of the cancellation. All I want is for us to get past JAX healthy and bring on the Fins on 9/9!

Uh, actually, my beef is all about season tickets so I can and will b!tch about getting ripped off. People who buy their tickets week to week aren't charged full price for two exhibition games. Wow, there was one whole season ticket holder who doesn't mind getting hosed? Because the rest have been from Va Beach, Richmond, Park City or are 14.

What act? I was already tired of having to pay $109 per seat for meaningless games and then they have the audacity to cut one of them short. If I paid $10 to see a movie and the power went out, I would expect a refund or passes to another show. Is this really an unreasonable argument? I think not.

Were you at the Monday Night game a few years back when the Cowboys beat us 27-0? That was the most miserable experience of my life. Snow, rain, sleet and wind all game long for 4 quarters.

We agree on the first point. I just think they owe us something since they got full payment months ago for an incomplete game.

Don't renue. That way, I will have a chance of getting your seats.

There are people in NC, SC, here in VB that have season tickets as well. I will make the drive up 95 to see my skins on Sunday when I get my season tickets.
