Final Roster

The most glaring problem I've seen in this thread is lack of Tight Ends, in Joe Gibbs previous three years the Skins have had 4 TEs rostered each year. In 2004 and 2005 Sellers was considered an H-Back/TE, but 2006 he became primarily a FB and the four were Cooley, Yoder, Kozlowski, and Fauria.

Cooley, Yoder and who else?

Well, we did start out last year with only two TEs, so it is possible. Course, we eventually did pick up Yoder.

Chris Wilson is the sleeper on the D-Line....the kid can play...hope he gets a chance to show what he can do this year. Passing downs....Carter obviously with Wilson...there will be production on 3rd downs this year. Guaranteed. :logo:

I went to the game last night, and was pretty excited about what Chris Wilson may bring to this team.

The Ravens had third and long on their own 10 or so in the first quarter, when I noticed a bit of a stir on the sideline. Greg Blache sent Chris Wilson in with he first team as the situational pass rusher. I knew this kid was gonna rush McNair harder than he had ever rushed a QB before. He didn't quite get there because the tackle appeared to have a handful of his shirt. He did, however, get such a push as to force McNair to check down to Musa Smith. The result was a punt.

As he came off the field many of the defensive players, most notably MW, were congrarulating him. I got the sense that we would be seeing this more often than not.

However, on the Ravens next possesion, Wilson got another attempt, and jumped offsides. It appeared he was really trying to cheat the count, he gambled and lost. I felt bad for him this time because the only person in his face on the sideline was Blache, and there appeared to be alot of spit flying from his lips.

I didn't get the feeling that he had blown his opportunity, but I also don't think Blache gives these guys much room for error.

My question is, are we gonna see Wilson given the situational rusher spot that Chris Clemmons did so well with back in '04, and how will he manage that responsibilty as a rookie?

Speed, speed, speed.

Wilson's not the biggest guy on the field, but neither are Fletcher or Blades. High-motor guys keep proving their worth around here. Trucks is another guy I'm rooting for all get-out. The guy looks like the Energizer Bunny out there, always seems to be around the ball.

I hope both of them stick.

Well, I don't know if you can call Wilson a rookie, since he spent a couple years in the CFL.

Funny, but when we first signed him, most people though there was no way in hell he'd make the team considering his size. But, he seems to have shown enough to maybe make this team.
