VinceGeorgeJoe
Got this from a Jets and league source: Jets get a 5th rounder this year if Kendall plays less than 80 percent of the Redskin offensive snaps. It becomes a 4th rounder in '09 if he plays 80 percent or more. Skins protect themselves, essentially, if he breaks down this year.

McMetal
Outstanding information. :applause: You outdid Shefter. This sounds about right, and I have no problems with it. 80% + snaps is a very safe threshold. It will take time to build the chemistry but they could be special by the late Nov-Dec stretch run. poliophil44
I guess the Wade experiment at guard was never a reality. I like him as a back up tackle especially with Samuels injury and Jansen's past injuries.
SonnyJ
A 5th-rounder in '08=4th-rounder in '09 from a draft value chart perspective. So, doesn't seem that it really makes much difference.

DiscoBob
if he plays all of 13 games (which is 81%) then we got our money's worth. Although, I'd love to find a way to have him be a starter, but get away with only owing a 5th. If he doesn't play week 1 & 2, just to learn the system, and then we can sub in pucillo for 15% of the snaps? It really depends on how Pucillo and Kendall compare to each other.... In the end though, I'd rather not risk not playing our best player if it might cost us a game. Plus, there might be an advantage to losing a 4th for two years in a row, rather than a 4th and a 5th in a single year?
Zen-like Todd
So assuming he plays all year, we're down to a first, second, third, sixth, and seventh rounder, if I'm remembering correctly.

SkinsHokieFan
If he plays 80 percent of the snaps, we keep the 5th this year, and give up a 4th in 2009 I can live with it Not a bad trade

Darc Requiem
Meandwarf, the Skins are only giving up a 5 round in 2008 OR a 4 round pick in 2009. For once, we seem to have gotten the better end of a trade. DiscoBob, we are only giving up a single draft pick for Kendall. If Kendall is the starter and remains relatively injury free. We give up a 4th rounder in 2009. If he doesn't start for whatever reason we give up a 5 rounder in 2008.

pjfootballer
So assuming he plays all year, we're down to a first, second, third, sixth, and seventh rounder, if I'm remembering correctly. We may also get compensatory picks as Dockery was a 3rd rounder and depending on some of the FA's we gained as opposed to losing.

No, if he only plays 80% or less, this is what we are down to. If he plays more, we are missing our fourth rounder next year (Due to the Duckett trade) and the year after that (For this one).
