Dccat
I think Mason should be the # 3 back, behind CP and Ladell. I think Rock should be kept but for teams only. We can cut Jimoh and keep Mason. I think Mason has much more vision as a runner than Rock, Mason kinda reminds me of former Giant Joe Morris, and us old heads know all about him........:gaintsuck
CPortJGibbs89
I like him alot from what I have seen. He seems to have great vision and hits the hole pretty fast. I know hes playing against mostly 3rd stringers but he has shown me some flashes to at least keep him on the practice squad.
jgwyn500
Blaylock isnt a bad number 3 either.
umstew42
why don't we give him a shot against some first string special teamers and see what he's got? That way we know what he's like on returns, but there's pretty much no way he makes it as an RB. Rock has that 3rd spot on lockdown I think
bryceb07
Yea get rid of blaylock and keep rock for special teams and kick returns !
ThePreciating
Mason is so young and so inexpensive. He's also a local boy, not to mention an incredible athlete. The risk of bringing him on is well worth the possible reward.
Raub
I think he's looked pretty good in the opportunities he's had. It's going to be really difficult for him to get a roster spot though. Maybe we can hide him on the practice squad.
Sec325
he has been looking pretty good, but i say just another Sultan McCaulah SP?

terpfan44
Blaylock isnt a bad number 3 either. Blaylock drops as soon as he's touched..he's trung candidate without the speed..he just knows the playbook..the Jets gave him every chance last year..I had him as a bench-fantasy..believe me he has very little upside..and Mason cuts back really well and takes a hit
Slacky McSlackAss
I agree with all except cutting Jimoh. Hes a straight baller on special teams, hard hiter, great punt saver. I would like to have CP, Ladell, Mason and cut blaylock and keep rock for kick returns.
ThePreciating
I think practice squad looks the most likely, especially since with Espy out, we're allowed to sign someone to the practice squad while still keeping his rights. I have no false hopes that Mason could start an NFL game this year and not get absolutely manhandled. But in two-three years, this guy could easily be like a Jones-Drew or like other small, meaty, hole-hitting backs.

[[ghost]]
I truly think that either in this game, or the next, that kids like Palmer, Hoag, Mason, Wilson, Blades, and plenty of other young potential players should be thrown into the fire. If they screw up, it doesn't matter. Especially this game, so that we can use the last game of the Preseason to tune up our starters one last time. CGSKINS
I would keep mason. He's young and he has quick feet and good field vision. He also hits the hole very hard. We need some young talent on this team. Get rid of all this old ass cats. Thats how you build for the future. Look at the Eagles, Ravens, Patriots. They have a stockpile of young talent. Stew
I like Mason enough to put him on the practice squad this season and hopefully Portis or Betts wont get hurt and we can have another look next year.

Monk4theHall81
I like him too, I just dont think youre going to see anything more out of him than a possible practice squad spot. To say hes better than Rock is outrageous, Rock is one of the few, true Redskins on the team. He's a great special teams player, and a good back when given the chance to run. I think most people on this board feel the same way. You gotta love watching an undersized college fullback drafted in the 7th round work his way into a steady contributor for a NFL Team, especially on a team like ours where most of our players were acquired throught free agency. Sorry for the tangent, just had to get it out.

jtyler42
I think our top 3 RB's are: 1.) Portis 2.) Betts 3.) Blaylock At FB we keep: 1.) Sellers 2.) Rock If Mason makes the roster he should be our primary KR man...If not he has definately earned a practice squad spot...
