dwills1
Jansen was average in pass protection this weekend and he was below average last weekend.....let's stop being so homer protective and keep it real.... Jansen needs to be praying about getting his form for the regular season
Kurd Cudins
What that picture doesn't show is that Jansen is actually praying to The Devil.
Brandon Lloyd Christmas
I'm sure a lot of them probably feel the same way, but for some reason their comments may fall on your deaf ears. im sure our players have tons of opinions that plenty wouldnt agree with (ahem clinton portis ahem) but that doesnt mean they have to be an idiot and go broadcasting it everywhere. im surprised youre arguing on his behalf. Chump Bailey
jansen is a classic meathead. he comes across that way in his interviews and there have been numerous reports that hes gotten in multiple fights with his own teammates. theres was a thread last week that listed all the players hes gotten in scuffles with, and hes talked about getting in fights with at least two reporters (czaben and bmitch). dude is just a meathead plain and simple. he might be a caring meathead, but a meathead nonetheless. Jofizz
I'll always be a Jon Jansen fan. The man has heart, that's plain and simple.
AKM311
How do you know he's praying and not just concerned for his quarterback?"God, now that you've hurt our quarterback, please make him okay. Amen." Isn't that the same thing?

communion5
at least jansen donates a dollar to prostate cancer at the local safeway, when he is buying groceries.
[[ghost]]
Praying? It looks more like he's just kneeling and wiping the sweat off his face. But still, its the gesture that ocutns.
Flycoach
I agree. My guess is that they didn't see it happen or they would have at least been all in his face.
RedskinsInFebruary
From what I saw against Pitt, I do not remember any time where he was letting people by him. Well actually the sack that ended the initial drive came around Jansen's side; not sure whose responsibility it was though, because Sellers was there too. It was three on three on that side on that play: Randy Thomas, Sellers, and Jansen defending against three rushers. I think Thomas is our best lineman, but on this play he actually fell back on his can and luckily his man stopped rushing and didn't charge through. Jansen tapped the outside guy who eventually got to Campbell, then slid over and took the inside rusher. The problem was Sellers also chose the inside rusher and the outside guy came through free. My question is, isn't who takes who supposed to be coordinated in advance?
jnhay
Jansen has always shown an allegence to his QBs. Ramsey, Brunell, and now Campbell. He is a team guy and should be considered a "true Redskin". But like mrdoctor says, he has been letting a lot of guys by him lately. If you really want your QB to be safe, block your man.EDIT: I also noticed an improvement in the Pitt game. Yeah, I didn't notice anyone get by him Saturday. BTW, how do you know he's praying? I figured he was talking to Campbell. Well actually the sack that ended the initial drive came around Jansen's side; not sure whose responsibility it was though, because Sellers was there too. Are you sure it wasn't Betts, because I remember Betts being in on a play like that.

Are you sure it wasn't Betts, because I remember Betts being in on a play like that. Not sure about the praying, I myself was fighting not to vomit watching JC roll around in pain grimmacing for so long. I thought he was gone along with our season. What a lucky break we had there. I thought Jansen was just talking to JC too. And yes, Jansen looked much better than against the Titans. Buges must have got all up in him about that. Still concerned about the Guard situation. mcarey032
I am glad that Jansen was checking on him, but you didn't need the whole team over there. Instead of Jansen, Heyer should have been over there checking on Jason.
NewCliche21
Jansen is a classy AND a top level player in this league. It is just amazing to me how so many of you people don't really have a clue what you are talking about, and are always just yelling and screaming about something that is so totally untrue. I hope to God that non of you find out how valuable Jansen is by him going down with an injury, because; believe me you will be sorry if that were to happen. :stupid: Wow, never agree with you on much, but :cheers: to that! Mackdaddydean
I don't know about you guys but I really feel like the faith of some of the people on this team may have had something to do with that injury turning out the way it did. I mean looking at the video its almost a given that SOME Ligament was torn or at least sprained! I can only think that the prayers of Campbell (he's said he has thanked God a bunch already), Jansen, Gibbs, and the other members of the team's prayers actually had something to do with this. I know some jerk is gunna slam me for sayin it, but i really think so.
SkinsFanRob
I was at the game. I think ever skins fan heart stopped for a full two minutes. I didnt even realize campbell was hurt at first, because I was still paying attention to cooley after that catch he made. Anyways, jansen wasnt the only person to go over and check on campbell. I also saw antwaan randle el walk over also.

Peregrine
Rumors of his demise were greatly exagerated. Apparently you cant throw out a players career based on one preseason game...

heyholetsgogrant
I agree. I would expect the same out of Samuels as well if he was out there. But I would have like Thomas and Rabach over there as well. They were probably down the field with Cooley on their way back though. Samuels only cares about the money and thats the only reason why he stayed (I remember seeing an interview and some people actually on this board met him and said the same thing).... -Grant
RDSKNfaithfull
Looks like he is wiping sweat not praying. I agree he is a good guy but his play has dropped a lot even in camp he gets beat by below average defensive lineman. The reason he fought Golston twice is because Golston was going 100% trying to make the team and Jansen was getting beat by a 5th round pick.
