AKM311
For all the Jansen haters out there, at least there is one offensive lineman who cares. Not saying others didn't, but taking into account what another poster on here said of how Troy P was shoving Campbell while he was down and no one came to help, at least you can see Jansen praying in this pic: This is why he got the extension, because he is a Redskin at heart and all he wants to do is win! onnie007
I agree. I would expect the same out of Samuels as well if he was out there. But I would have like Thomas and Rabach over there as well. They were probably down the field with Cooley on their way back though.

Exactly, and this is a testimant to Gibbs of getting and holding these types of players for our team. For those who say he is not a good GM, at least we have players that fight even when we are losing.

turbodiesel#44
Jansen has always shown an allegence to his QBs. Ramsey, Brunell, and now Campbell. He is a team guy and should be considered a "true Redskin". But like mrdoctor says, he has been letting a lot of guys by him lately. If you really want your QB to be safe, block your man. EDIT: I also noticed an improvement in the Pitt game.
flexxskins
I don't understand. When was there an attack on Jansen's character? I must have missed that. All the threads that I have seen on Jansen have been basically just voicing concern on whether or not he can still do the job affectively. He has always been a classy guy. :2cents:
redskins59
He is a good fellow. Last week against the titans was a fluke. I still think we have a very good o line. Heyer isn't that bad either. Kid's gonna improve, that's for sure.

I just thought it would have been doable to pair John with Chris on the left side and move Wade to RT - at least try it out in practice if Jansen was receptive to the idea. talk show host
looks like he is just wiping the sweat off his forehead to me.... i dont know why everyone is getting so upset over this. when shawn springs got hurt a few years ago against the eagles, terell owens was the ONLY player by his side the entire time until he was carted off the field. I know T.O. and shawn are close friends and everything, but you would have expected SOMEONE in the B&G to be there. This team is made up of a bunch of free agents from all over the place. No one cares about anyone else. Its just a buisiness to most of them. I'm not surprised in the least that no one was there for JC. I'm a redskin fan and im used to this sort of thing from our players so it doesnt upset me. its just the nature of this team.
jrfriedm
Jansen is a classy AND a top level player in this league. It is just amazing to me how so many of you people don't really have a clue what you are talking about, and are always just yelling and screaming about something that is so totally untrue. I hope to God that non of you find out how valuable Jansen is by him going down with an injury, because; believe me you will be sorry if that were to happen. :stupid:
USS Redskins
Remember in 2002 (maybe 2003?) when Ramsey went down (for the 100th time) - he was writhing around on the field in pain and Not one lineman went over to check him out?

Personally, I haven't seen enough of Jansen this season to make a determination or to form a firm opinion on whether or not an experiment like you mentioned should be considered/implemented. He seem to struggle against the Titans, but didn't have that bad of a game against Pitt..The one thing that I have found disappointing is the fact that Kili Lefotu's name hasn't been brought up hardly at all this season by the coaches or anyone else for that matter. I (and I'm sure thousands of others) were hoping that he could bounce back from his mishap last season and compete for the LG position.
McMetal
I'm less concerned with shows of sympathy after guys come careening through our backfield than with preventing them from getting there in the first place. Every one of those O-linemen should have gotten together after that play and said "Guys, we can NEVER let that happen again!" Then they need to go home and watch "North Dallas Forty" to see how desperate linemen get the job down when they have to...

You are of course absolutly right. However, just because you get into a scrimish on the football field w/ one of your team mates, especially durring the long hot days of trainging camp, doesn't mean that you are just looking for a fight. We don't know everything that was said, or that took place. Besides its like fighting w/ your brother, you may love the guy, but he still can tick you off from time to time. P.S. Can you really blame the guy for wanting to beat up czaben and bmitch? I know I can't, because; I want to beat them up too.
