*Connecticut_Skins_Fan*
Hello fellow Washington Redskins Fans! I wanted to apologize for my reaction to the Redskins loss on Saturday night. Like most outside the D.C. area I was unable to watch the game live on TV. Concerned of how our beloved Washington Redskins team was performing. So I checked online (NFL Network site) to see that the Redskins were up 7 - 3. I was anticipating our Redskins to be down, (expecting them to be blown out) and was very surprised to see them up by 4 pts. I was anticipating the Redskins Blowing the game like years past, so I sat in front of my computer waiting with anticipation for the screen to update with the outcome of the play by play. I was unaware that Jason Campbell went down in the 1st quarter. (Keeping in mind I started watching the play by play mid way threw the 3rd quarter. The Redskins had a good drive going, but failed to punch it in near the end of the 3rd quarter and had to settle for a field goal. 10 - 3 Redskins, (excited) but still concerned as I yelled up to my wife (already in bed trying to sleep), Redskins 10-3, but there is another quarter to go. Now because I, like most redskins fans, am concerned about points scored in a game and tired of losing by less then 3 points a game and falling short of play off contention, a winning season, or even being able to finish the season at .500. I got myself up in a tizzy as the 4th quarter began seeing (on line) Mark Brunell come into the game. Thinking to myself oh boy here we go, Eddie George all over again. Sure it wasn't Brunells fault that we fumbled to give the Steelers a great scoring opportunity, but once again here we go. Next thing you know, with less than 2 mins to go in the game, I sat here praying that Mark would lead us to victory, yeah yeah yeah , preseason I know, ( I believe this is where we practice doing it right, getting it done, building the momentum needed to catapult us through the season with confidence, courage, and game ready experience.) Some how some way Mark got us in position only to see it all fall apart, swearing, downing, asking Brunell to be cut from the team, Expressing my uneducated opinion of the teams play here on ES. Only making myself look like a fool, a band waggoner fan looking for a winning team to follow. I got to watch the replay (2pm Sunday on NFL Network) and I was very wrong to down the Redskins, offense, coaching ect, after seeing the game, Jason looked very good, offense was in sync , even the 2nd string players were fairing well. The offensive line held up nicely, compared to last week against Tennessee. Our Defense, nothing short of excellent play! I'm very surprised that our defense wasn't the topic of discussion with commentators around the league/ websites. You know it would be nice just to hear that commentator say something good about the Redskins, maybe talk more about the Redskins than that other team that wears that silly looking blue star. Aren’t you all tired of Eagles cam? What happened to Redskins cam? Do we even have one? Are we even considered a professional team? What do we need to do to make the highlights, or the news? I'm sorry MR ESPN, NFL Network, HBO sports, that we do not have players that have domestic problems, assault charges pending, violations of league substances, or even that great history of winning seasons and super bowls OH WAIT! We do have that history! Maybe we should change our colors to green and have silly looking feathers growing from the front of our helmets, and only have one good player on our whole team (the quarterback). There is another team besides miners from San Fran, or the boys in blue that inspired broke Back Mountain, There is Joe Gibbs, Washington Redskins Football and all of its history and unbelievable fan backing. Whether we have a winning season or losing our stadium is sells out 90,000 fans plus each week every year. I am a Washington Redskins fan, very proud of it. Maybe it’s just the way it is, getting razed at the bars for wearing my burgundy and gold, having my vehicle keyed for being a Redskins fan, putting Washington Redskins Football above everything else come game day, or displaying my love for a team that doesn't even know I exist. Thanks for taking the time out to read. (Hail to the Redskins) Jon :logo:

ldysknzfn1
I accept your apology. I think it big of you to actually admit that you were wrong. I hope that next time you will wait to actually see the game before you pass any kind of "judgment" on the team. I understand your frustrations for seasons past...but at least watch before you knee jerk..k? Thanks. HTTR:cheers:

Kurd Cudins
This thread title needs an asterick next to it. Denoting its super gayness. I thought this site was about redskins football, not us as fans. We need to get over ourselves.
*Connecticut_Skins_Fan*
YES i do... because i don't like to see anyone downing the skins , so i thought about it long and hard enough to post it ..lol so yes i feel great.. sometimes getting things off your chest , admitting you were are wrong sets you free. Not always do you get forgiveness from others , but it allows you to forgive yourself and learn from your mistake.
RedskinzOwnU
Don't worry. If our starting D played the entire game the steelers wouldn't have had more than 6 points anyway.
AKM311
Anyone else proud of the amount of fans that showed up? I was watching the Ravens game last night and several other games this weekend, and I feel we had a much better turnout than most. Cheers to Skins fans being the best and most loyal fans in the country!

NAILBOMB9
If you made assumptions without even seeing what you were talking about then yes, you should wait and see it to make your points. But don't EVER apologize for your personal opinions on here!! They're yours and that is your right.
Skins-in-CT
hey CSF - I live about 20 miles from you (if that) so I hear what you are saying about not knowing what is going on in games. There is a place to go if you want to watch out of area games - you can stream it live with Sopcast. I don't have a link here at work but I am sure one of the other members can post it before I get home. I was able to watch the first half until the stream went down - then I went to NFL.com Game Center. It allowed me to temper my reactions to things a bit since I was able to see how well we were playing in the first half. I read your earlier posts too, nice to see someone that can look at themselves and own up to what they say. Good lookin' out :applause: There is hope for us northerners that don't get to see games - try what I said. If no one posts a link before I get home I will hit you up. pjfootballer
One word of advice. Never, I mean NEVER come in here after a loss. I did that last year after Minnesota and looked foolish. I always give myself Monday to heal, then come back fresh on Tuesday. Or just hang around the Tailgate. It's all good, I get the same way sometimes. It's been a frustrating 15 years.
