88Comrade2000
Okay, they are only testing right now. NY and CA are the two states that first got it. They expanded their test to Ohio. I just have to say, they got a hit on their hands. It's a little expensive but it's worth the price. I had 2 yesterday- one for dinner and one for lunch. Yummy! Hopefully, they make the burger a permanent thing and available everywhere.

ldysknzfn1
Didn't yall know that Hardee's have had these burgers for at least 4 years if not longer:doh: . The "thickburgers" are Angus beef! Most are tasty.
SoCalSkins
They are way too overcooked. All the ecoli scares force them to ruin the meat.

Spaceman Spiff
Haters! Double cheeseburgers of the Mcdonalds dollar menu are some of the most tastiest things around. I'm curious about this thickburger. Wonder if you can double up the patties.

Jrock, just cause they're cheap and greasy and you can get them in a matter of seconds doesn't mean they're bad. Billions and billions served for a reason Ah, to each their own. jrockster21
Jrock, just cause they're cheap and greasy and you can get them in a matter of seconds doesn't mean they're bad. I never said they were bad. They're edible. However I can't eat fast food anymore after watching Fast Food Nation. Also, you said they were "some of the tastiest things around." This is why I said I feel sorry for you...because you've obviously never had a truly excellent burger. Billions and billions served for a reason You already gave the reason - they are cheap and fast. That's why billions and billions have been served. Its more a testament to marketing and America's propensity to eat crappy food than the goodness of the burger. Well, it's a good thing I asked you for your opinion  I've had many a burger, and many an excellent burger. But there are days where I don't feel like making my own, spending more than 5 bucks for 5 guys or fuddruckers and 2 or 3 extra greasy double cheesers hit the spot. And it wouldn't be billions and billions served if they didn't have a good product.

Worst burger I had ever tasted. first thing wrong was it is fried. You can't take a quality burger like Angus and fry it. Flame broiling. Second, the Buns have a distinct flavor to them which doesn't compliment the taste of the burger. All around a terrible tasting slab of meat. I will take Carls Jr. $6 burger anyday!! Tarhog
They are way too overcooked. All the ecoli scares force them to ruin the meat. You've obviously never gotten one WITH the e.coli Try a weeks worth of continuous diarrhea and vomiting and the worst sickness you've ever experienced. It'll put the 'overdone' burger concern in its proper perspective...
