Bud Selig is the biggest problem in baseball

Me hijack a thread? never.

By the way, I wouldn't mind the Clemens suspension if it was only 3 games and the second Jay's pitcher to throw at A-Rod had been tossed. They got one throw at him and missed - the second time is just going too far.

His suspension would probably have been shorter if he didn't already have a reputation for being a head hunting *******. Ask Piazza about that one.

I love his style of pitching. If I was a pro pitcher, you better damn well believe I would make it WELL known that the inside of the plate was MINE. He's no more of a head hunter than Gibson and Drysdale were - and they are two of the all time greats.

Reclaiming the inside of the plate is one thing. Deliberately going head hunting is another.

Maybe not. But it would send a no-nonsense message that says this won't be tolerated even by big stars who play for big market teams.

that's got to be worth something, no?

Does it really surprise you? This is the same guy that reinstated Steinbrenner, spear headed the movement to remove Vincent (the last real Commissioner) and stole close to $300 million from the players.

In this post

Baseball = Selig

Stupid = Selig

MLB = Selig

Them = Selig

They= Selig

Unfortunately by allowing this and now turning the other cheek on Giambi, how can baseball MOVE ON? Move to what? Cheaters prosper, and apparently, that is the way Selig likes it. His utter spinelessness has sullied the game badly.

The best way for baseball to move on is to hang Selig out by his ankles and appoint a new commissioner who will try to clean the game up.

First they could move on by not wasting $$$ on this fradulent steroids investigation by George Mitchell. Secondly, MLB just need to come out and admit: look we screwed the pooch on this one. We should have had testing in place for steroids a long time ago, we should have recoirgnixed that their was a steroid issue before Barry Bonds head got bigger, apologize for it, and make sure they take the steps necessary to catch people who use steroids. I mean what has steroids done to the game besides cheapen the record books? Attendance is up, the league is making boatloads of money. That is a start.

well, THEN can we throw Bud Selig into a wormhole?

Jokes aside, i totally agree. To have any credibility they have to stop pretending they haven't screwed up. Go from now and make it right.
