Well I haven't seen Knocked Up so I can't comment on that, but of the other two the 40 Year Old Virgin was great and the Wedding Crashers was overrated. So they're 50/50 with me. I could toss a coin and get the same odds, or I can wait till it's out on DVD and save a few bucks (after all there are no special effects or other features that will make it better on the big screen).
If you thought 40 Year Old Virgin was great, you'd like Knocked Up. I agree- Wedding Crashers is terribly overrated (half the movie's more of a romantic movie than a comedy, several of the joke scenes go on for waaaay too long, and Owen Wilson's character is an incredibly annoying pansy), but Knocked Up was great. Great thing about Knocked Up too- not only is it hilarious in a very realistic manner (there are no preposterous Wedding Crashers/Old School "only in a movie" type scenes), but it's also a very good hearted movie. It's odd to say, but it's really a super raunchy romantic comedy, and it works perfectly. I fully endorse it, especially if you like 40 Year Old Virgin since it's the same writers/director/etc.

As for Superbad, it looks hilarious. Again, it's a lot of the same Knocked Up/40 Year Old Virgin crew, and it's the perfect kind of hilarious movie that comes out of nowhere really at the end of the summer and just kills it for entertainment, like 40 Year Old Virgin a couple years ago. I was a big fan of Arrested Development and enjoyed George Michael Bluth on that, so that kid should be good in this too in that comedic awkward way again. I'm seeing it early Friday afternoon, so I'll probably be among the first to post back in this thread about it and let everyone know what it's like.

Saw it earlier this afternoon...thought it was funny, but not as good as Knocked Up or 40 Year Old Virgin. My favorite scenes were easily the ones involving McLovin, that character was hilarious. It seemed a little like a new version of American Pie, just specifically from the male perspective of things.

I'd be really interested to see some deleted scenes or outtakes from this movie though, that's for sure.

Couldn't have said it any better, that kid was such a joke that he was hilarious.

There were some scenes that I def think they could have cut out (like when the cops all of a sudden were gonna arrest Evan and his fat best friend and blame the whole thing on them). Sometimes it looked like the movie was going to take a brutal turn, and making it too dramatic or even realistic???

But other than that I thought it was pretty funny, but yea not as good as knocked up. I would def like to see it again though to get some of the lines down...I swear I never can remember movie lines right after I see the movie.

Well it looks to me like it will live up to its name. The ads on TV for it haven't been funny at all. Yawn.

that's b/c it aims for a teen high school audience so I can see why you might not have found them funny. I think it looks funny as hell and want to see it.
