SASKINTOTHEEND
With Alexander's determination to not give up on play, will or should it earn him a spot? This video, like one said on another thread, will be shown over and over by Williams on how determination will win over. I know that Coach Gibbs loves to see this, but is it enough to earn a spot on the roster or is it just an example to others on how to go 110%? Can you give your input? terpskins10
Well as I see it, Griffin and Golston are locks. Montgomery made a strong push with a good game today so I don't see him being cut either. Salave'a is a fan and GW favorite so I see him making it too. Unless he makes the team instead of Big Joe I don't see it.
whatmeworry
Might be PS material. You have to love someone who puts out that kinda effort.
skinsaddict2621
I doubt it. As great a effort as that was, (and it truly, truly was), I doubt that one play can get him onto the team. If the rest of the preseason he plays well and gives 150% like that play, then he'll make the team. But probably not by tackling without a helmet on, I'm pretty sure coaches don't wanna see their players going around tackling players without helmets on.:2cents:
snaps
I liked his heart on the play. I would like to see them keep him to atleast the final cut and get him some more reps to see what he can do.
praise_gibbs
One heads up play does not a player makes. 'A' for effort but, to earn a spot on an NFL roster.. you have to play consistently. Take away that helmetless play and he still have a good game. If he can mantain that style of play.. just give it his all like he did today. Then, yes. He will get and deserve a roster spot. I would keep checking NFL.com under the photo's part of the Skins/Titans scorecard. As they add more pics.. I am sure they would have that one in there. Maybe even on redskins.com. terpfan
He was hustling everywhere tonight. I noticed him on numerous occasions before the no-helmet incident. Looked like he was playing for his life. He won't make our roster though, maybe the practice squad. He plays like a madman though, for sure. praise_gibbs
hmm, they seemed to have disabled access to the beta site now... for shame it still works. just go to NFL.com and near the middle/bottom right of the page click on washington / tennessee. The video will load and can be viewed at the top right part of the page.
