Impressions after first game at FedEx

Well, I finally got a ticket to go see the Skins L-I-V-E. And I swear, if there was ever a day to see the Redskins live for the first time, today was it!!

Darrel's retirement speech, our D holding those skanks to virtually nothing, breaking that damn streak, and then being able to rip the **** out of all those long-faced 'boys fans, it was suweeet!

When LaVar got that TD, omfg, the whole stadium was so loud and I was yelling so hard that I though for sure my vocal cord and ear drums had completely burst. Such a sweeet feeling! I got ****ing beer spilled all over me. heheheh

It was also great to see the love that everyone in DC has for Darrel, as well as the love that Darrel has for DC. The place went absolutely wild when he got that punt in his hands. I shot out of my seat and a good 12 feet into the air. He was sooo~~ close to taking it all the way.

...

Anyway, this is a message to all the Skins fans who have only seen our team play through TV: PLEASE GO SEE THEM LIVE!! I know getting tickets is a *****, but this is an experience you will never forget. Just pure 100% adreneline, excitement, spirit, alcohol, all that good stuff. Certainly, it's something I'll never forget.

...

Well, seeing as how I've probably lost my voice for a good couple of days, I'm gonna go chill and watch the game again (I taped it, hehe).

Today was a great day to do it -- most alive the stadium has been all year. As many others have said here, once things get truly rolling again I hope the place will be like this every game.

It's much easier to watch from 20 rows up the Pete Rozelle Upper Level when the place is packed and rocking!

Yes, a good crowd today.

Also, I noticed something interesting near the end of the game. For whatever reason, the stadium crew stopped playing the loud music between plays. Rather than getting shut down by the music, then having to build back up just as the play started, the crowd began to feed off itself, keeping the noise up. I hope someone there took notice - I think loud fans have much more of an impact on the opposing offense than loud music coming out of the huddle.

I must say being at my first Redskins- Dallas game it was truly special and a lot of fun talking trash with the Cowboy fans that were there. Gotta love fans who sit on their hands all game only to insist that things will be better with a new coach
