Drex
It's good to see that Montgomery is showing some improvement. It will be interesting to see how he fares this preseason.

Lombardi's_kid_brother
Whenever I hear this about a player during camp, I naturally assume that they are going to be cut. I remember coming home from my first scrimmage as a freshman in high school and informing my dad that we had a full-back who was going to easily be all-state. I believe he ended up with 4 carries during the year. Ever since then, I've shied away from training camp wonders.
SkinsNoles21
montgomery cant be good... The Redskins would never draft players late that turn out to be good quality players...
SkinsNoles21
Here's to Tyler Jennings, the greatest WR in the history of practice! im always glad to see when you post in a thread...and its not because of what you have to say.

Skinja
perhaps developments like this will alleviate fears incurred from not taking a DL in the draft
cmorina69
thats either really good news for Montgomery..........or terrible news for our o-line I hope that he is as good as this guy makes him out to be. I think he has a nice big body and will do well in the rotation this year.
One Shot
Could this be why we didn't draft a D-Lineman? Because we have two young D-Lineman who the coaches feel are the future? If this is the case, I will learn to trust Gibbs and the FO more when it comes to who we draft.
RunClintonRun26
thats either really good news for Montgomery..........or terrible news for our o-line Jeez we have developed serious cases of negativity around here . . . Man, tough crowd  Montogermy's size and quickness give him natural ability to play DT in the NFL. Again its a matter of being disciplined, mastering technique and being willing to work at it I know man. I have yet to come across a negative report about his talent level . . . I HOPE that both Montgomery and Golston pan out . . . I think the coaches were confident enough in their abilities to completely ignore the position in the draft and FA. From early in the off-season, Renaldo Wynn was comparing Montgomery to Stroud of the Jags . . . and if he can be like that - :applause:
NVskinsfan
Prove it when it counts. Agreed 100%...16 games with an impact on the DL would be great
ThomasRoane
I'll reserve judgement myself until I see him do it vs someone else's goods. We've been burned by the 'practice warriors' before. Guys like a certain ex-Gator who caught everything in practice but punked out over and over again when it counted.
tml6157
it would be sweet if Monty and Ked can both step up and be what we need, they for once our FO will deserve praise instead of being made a laughing stock of

Jimbo
While I like the fact that Montgomery is coming along, I'm assuming he's doing it against our backup O-Linemen. While I think our starters are pretty decent, I'm worried about the O-Line depth. The last thing I want to see is an injury to a starter and Jason getting treated like David Carr in Houston. SWFLSkins
Yep. And David Patten compared Ramsey to Tom Brady. That was especially hilarious because those of us unlucky enough to catch a camp session that year saw Ramsey struggling to throw anything other than a pick. \ ++++++++++++++++++++ \ actually Peyton Manning also said Ramsey had incredible potential as well. dfos81
Hmmm, either he has had a really good offseason or our O-Line is missing Randy Thomas and underperforming in practice. We will know for sure after the Ravens scrimmage. or a lil of both
Monk4theHall81
Gibbs and Co. have had alot of faith in Montgomery & Golston. We already know Golston is a good player, now its on Montgomery to step up and use his huge frame to hold up linemen for Fletcher. Great news!! Pedro
He watched Golston get playing time on account of being a hard worker who sometimes makes a positive impact. He faces the prospect of not being a pro footballer unless he pulls his finger out. Simple as that to explain the turn around because it's common knowledge on this site that Montgomery has the potential to be our best interior lineman. Train a few hours a day and play once a week for a few months each year for 10 years or work 60 hours a week for the rest of your life and still struggle? Not too hard a question and it looks like Montgomery has been asked to decide.
