truskinsfan18
I have played football my whole life, and getting used to pads at first is awkawd. It does effect your play marginally until u adjust. I read in another thread someone said Jason campbell looked good in mini camp then came out flat in the begninning of training camp. And then, today i hear campbell had his best day. Its simply the adjustment to the pads theres nothing to worry about with Campbell

kappaluvacee
Man, how things have changed over the years. I played football through high school. The funny thing is: We never had to adjust to wearing pads because every time we practiced, we were in pads. Walk-throughs were even done in shoulder shells and shorts or sweatpants. DB44
I just hope they're hitting this year, instead of the pedestrian training camp they had last year. I want to see a much tougher team this year and it starts with the blocking and tackiling drills.

Walking Deadman
I know from my HS days of training camp, you do have an adjustment period. You have to get used to the weight of the helmet and Pads and some of the restricetd movement...once your body adapts you're fine and it feels like it's just a part of your body. Shouldn't be a problem.
SkinsNatsFan
If you listen to my interview with him from Friday I asked him about it and he said it was a big adjustment. You nailed it again man. It's also great to hear that he's past that and looking sharp again.
jrfriedm
You've got to remember that these guys have been playing football for 10,15,20+ years and that their bodies are already very used to wearing those pads. While I have no doubt that, even still it takes a little while to get comfortable again, especially in new pads, I think that JC biggest problem on Friday was the excitment, and adrenaline.
