DemSkinz
Hey all I'm going to the Skins and Giants game September 23rd and the Skins and Eagles game November 11th. I've been to about six game total including last season's opener and the game against the Panthers. Are Division rival games (except for Cowboys) games more exciting/better than regular games. Because it seemed that a lot of people sat down on third downs when the redskins defense was on the field. I mean come on, with 90,000 people we should be the loudest stadium in the NFL. Oh and is anyone else going to these games?
mikachu
I guess it's just like any given sunday. as a season ticket holder i'm there every home game so some games are more exciting than others. he division games are cool, but of course Dallas is the best because ppl seem to get into it a little more than say philly or the giants. Either way, this year imma need everybody to be a whole lot more louder and stand up on third downs.

hail2skins
Like a lot of games, it really depends on when in the season they are and how the Skins are doing that particular season. By the time the Panthers game rolled around last year the Skins season was pretty much over, so people weren't as much into it. Plus I think that game may have been around the Thanksgiving weekend which would mean a lot of folks out of town which would compound the situation. However, I agree that the effort the fans put forth for the opener last year was lackluster. For a team that made the playoffs the previous season and opening on MNF, I expected a more jacked-up crowd than what actually showed up. The fans should definitely be in to the 2 games you mention. The Giants game is still early in the season. The Philly game at FedEx may prove to be a pivotal one as far as our season goes. I expect us to start off relatively strong in our first 6, but then the 2 away games against the Pats and Jets will likely be tough......in any event, that home date with the Eagles is looming to be huge. kevinklein
They're definitley more exciting because of the impact division games have on the division. It's a 2 game swing with that team. That Giants game is real early in the season too, so regardless of the two teams records, they'll still be fired up.

IWANTOBEGM
Every game counts in the NFL. Division games have a good vibe as you normally get some opposing fans to razz on, but in general all games are good....meaning of the game has a large affect. Vinnick
I'm a season ticket holder also. I am with a group of guys including my cousin. There are 3 of us who share 4 tickets. So, we have ticket swapping so we can take our families to a game or two, while not going to a few home games. We always keep our Dallas tickets. But, in recent years, I've been more willing to trade the other divisional games (knowing Skins fans will go), to get games against teams I rarely see live. But to answer your question, I think the best crowds are Opening Day, and Dallas. Otherwise, they are about the same. Unless a Star live Favre comes to town. There its more exciting. isle-hawg
I am going to FEDEX for the Giants game with my son this year. I guarantee we will be doing more than our share of making noise when our D is on the field!

SeattleSkinsFan
I was at a game at FedEx vs. the Gnats a few years back. We were down going into the fourth and not showing signs of coming back, but ended up evening the score and went into OT (we lost, sorry to say). A lot of folks left early, and I'd guess that the stadium was only about 2/3 full late in the 4th and in OT, yet FedEx was as loud as I've ever heard it. My guess is that was a combination of it being a divisional game and a close game.

112row2
Division games are played with added intensity, especially at the end of the year. (See the final home game this year..) While I think we have a great home field presence at FedEx, the free enterprise system in the secondary market does exist and those people who love their home towns so much they now live in ours seem to get tickets. It is critical to make any opposing fans you may see as uncomfortable as possible without physical abuse (this isnt the Philly Rathole) Some important things to remember when the x team is in town.... Giants (fans recognizable by their resemblance to Vinny Barbarino and Zsa Zsa Gabor..): "hey, the Gambino's called, you're due back at sundown...." or "put the martini down, this is a football game, not a lunch hour" Eagles(knuckle draggers, they are recognizable by their inability to walk upright (still waiting on thw whole evolution thing I guess..)): where do I begin? i think the best, to the point conversation piece that seems to be the only thing they understand is... "Eag-les SUCK!!!!" Seriously..It is a blast and celebrating after a win over these teams and their fans is truly heightens the experience. Have a great time, go home without a voice, and help those around you through the second verse of HTTR!!! over and out...
Skinsfan1311
Division games are definitely more intense. The wins feel much better. The losses hurt a lot more.
