CaseyJones7
Tell us the brand. Also, I need a new pair. The only thing i'm looking for in them is Comfort, Comfort and yea Comfort. Oh, and durablility would be nice. I could care less, seriously, about what they look like. They'll mostly be just for hunting/fishing. Any suggestions? Boots
For me, it's hard to beat a good pair of Timberlands. Given my screen name, I aqlmost had to rerspond to this thread.

shagman
I had some Airwalk snowboarding boots back in the day that were awesome. I think the stink of them was enough for me to throw them out though. They werent the best for support but damn they were comfortable.
maxiumone
By far the best boots for comfort and durability are Redwing boots. They are made in the USA and they stand behind their product. http://www.redwingshoe.com/
DoGood28
I absolutely love my Caterpillar work boots. I've had them for a couple years. The only gripe I have is that the sole is kind of soft and beginning to wear. But I can walk in them all day and they look nice enough with some long pants that I can take them out to the bars. Baculus
I had a pair of Blackrock all leather-uppers tactical boots that were very comfortable and lasted me for almost 10 years. I wore these things until they were literally falling apart, so I replaced them with some leather and nylon tactical boots that are also real comfortable. Unfortunately, though, I cannot remember the manufacturer, but I wear these things pretty much everywhere I go. (I learned a long time ago that boots are the best all-around footwear to use. I don't like finding myself in boot conditions while I am wearing sneakers.) For sheer comfort and toughess, as well as being reasonable in price, you can't beat some of the tactical boots that you can find in stores such as Sonny's surplus. Jumbo
Believe it or not, but Doc martens are really comfortable I was gonna start mine with "believe it or not" but I agree. I was blown away by the fit and the longevity.
airborneskins
My Military issued Desert Combat boots. Yeah I said it! Believe it or not, they really are comfortable (after I broke them in!)
borninblood
I wore matterhorns in the military in alaska. Warm in the winter cool in the summer. I still have a pair I hunt in that I bought in 93 if that tells you anything. http://www.bootbay.com/bootbay/search3.asp?s_id=0&search_freetext=Matterhorn For daily wear doc martens are great. I wear the low cuts to work and church. You can easily get 3-5 years out of a pair.

Kosher Ham
I would go to REI and try on a few pairs of styles/barnds you might like. Then go to their online store where they have an outlet store. They have some pretty good deals from time to time.

gbear
I love my Timberlands. I've had them for 15 years. They've been awesome when I've messed up my ancle playing soccer or basketball. Outside of being hurt, I really only wear them when it's very cold outside as they are really too warm for spring fall weather here in MD.

zoony
Problem I've always had with boots is that in order to get a comfortable pair, you end up dishing out the cash for them. So after that, I don't want to ruin them. For working out in the yard I've found that old pairs of VANS are very functional. Very easy to slip on / off when coming inside, and the flat tread doesn't pick up a lot of mud. They're also extremely comfortable... and because they're old, I don't care what happens to them. They don't have a steel shank so they aren't ideal for digging holes... you just have to toughen up a little. .....
HighPlainsDrifter
I have two pair of these: http://www.sierratradingpost.com/p/0,61270_Alico-Summit-Backpacking-Hiking-Boots-For-Men.html They are wonderful. I used to take my boots off first thing when I got home. Now I just don't even think about it. I still had my boots on last night at 11:00. That's 16 hours straight with no discomfort at all. :2cents:
curlinga
Government issue combat boots:applause: I have to agree with this assessment! I still wear my speedlacers that were issued to me in '88 while I was in ROTC. I wear them for heavy duty yardwork & to go out in what little bit of snow we sometimes hardly ever get.
