SkinnedAussie
http://insiderracingnews.com/Daily2007/Feb/021607.html Tony Stewart’s win in Thursday’s Gatorade Duel non-point qualifying race at Daytona International Speedway marked the 100th professional victory for Joe Gibbs Racing. The 16-year-old company founded by Joe Gibbs, the three-time Super Bowl winning coach of the NFL’s Washington Redskins, earned its milestone victory by way of 54 point-paying NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series wins, seven non-point paying Nextel Cup wins, five NASCAR Busch Series wins, 22 NHRA Top Fuel wins and 12 NHRA Funny Car wins. I hope his race track success can soon be replicated on the field. I know, everyone will tell me how successful he was in his first stint as Redskins Head Coach, but that was back then, not now. DoGood28
Aussies like NASCAR? Good for you guys. Yet another reason to like Australia. Has any other NASCAR team had as much success as JGR has since they were founded?
SkinnedAussie
There is actually an Aussie competing in the BUSCH series this year. Marcos Ambrose finished 16th (1st rookie, 3rd of the BUSCH only regulars) in his first BUSCH start. Marcos ran the Truck Series last year after a successful (Australian) V8 Supercar career.
