RWJ
and is not in the Steeler's plans to be retained, do you believe we can make room for him on the Skins? You can dream can't you....
terpfan
I wanted him for our OC. Too late for that now though.
kwitt
Ya, we can make him Assistant Head Coach-Offense, Offensive Line, and Other Stuff.
[[ghost]]
Please, lets promote from WITHIN. Its gotten to the point where our big spending tendencies aren't limited to Free Agency and Players anymore.... Russ Grimm would be nice, but A) He'll probably stay in Pitt, I think Our FO is set. It'd be like adding Calvin Johnson. Nice to have, but far from neccesary.
Laxpunk2006
I love Grimm but the last thing we need is another coach. The only time I want him here is post-Gibbs.

Yeah lets hire him so the Guards and tackles can have separate meetings. Too Many chiefs and not enough indians. Besides lets fix the defense first. offense is set. Except for Wideout
Jethrodsp
Theres no room. Besides, I want him to get the job in Pittsburg. The Rooneys will give him every chance to succeed there.
riggoraider
I thnk that "IF'S" regarding Grimm and the Steelers will be erased in the next few days
Fifty Gut
way too late for all that our offensive staff already has a full house
red dot in a sea of blue
Maybe he can be the Head Coach of Good Memories? I'd love to see him here at some point in the future, but right now we gotta get Joe another ring...

Besides lets fix the defense first. offense is set. Except for Wideout I agree, we should concentrate on the players NOT coaching. The offense certainly looks well besides, like you said, the receiver position. The defense had a terrible year but I think that it is fixable with a few personel changes. I would not overhaul it but I would bring in a DE who can tackle opposite Carter, definitely a bigger MLB, Clements or Samuels, use Rogers in nickle packages and let McIntosh start. With Williams' defensive scheme we can make those few changes on "D" and bring in a possession receiver on "O" and would not have made a ton of free agent moves, especially when the DE and /or MLB replacement will probably come from the draft, and our team continuity will still be intact. Of course, dead weight like Patten , Wright, Holdman and a couple of more players should be gone but the nucleus would still be on the team. RedskinzOwnU
I have no problem bringing him in (assuming we even have the privilege of doing so). He is clearly a good coach. This team is full of crap coaches but has very few good ones. Another good one would probably do more good than harm. Hell, maybe he could help whip this dysfunctional organization into shape. He knows how to run things properly coming from Pitt.
ECU-ALUM
Please not another coach! If we bring him in then some of our Offensive staff has to go...eventually the coaching staff is going to become so big that each player will have their own coach. the burgundy and gold
why are we even talking about bringing another coach? we basically have 3 head coaches on our team now, why would we add a 4th??
D'Pablo
I would force Buges to retire, or become an assistant, and hire him to coach up the OL. The OLs of 1999 and 2000 were much better than any we've encountered under Buges recently. Grimm did a damn good job in Pitt, too.
ozskin
It would be good to have him here, but he is definitely apart of the Steelers future.
REEGSKINS
i would love to see grimm and jim hannafin come back to us. hannafin was with gibbs 1 as offensive assistant and just got cut by the panters. but i know there isnt room on this coaching staff anymore. Bizkiteer
Too many chefs in the kitchen as it is... The stories of how the coaches are even tlaking to each other is already there, too many chefs ruin the meal.
Tastes Like Chicken
I'd love to see Grimm as Head Coach, nothing less. That means Gibbs would have to retire, and that's not happening right now. So Grimm will probably be named HC in Pittsburgh, and when Gibbs goes we'll offer the big $$$ to Cowher, Parcells, Gruden, or (insert big name Coach here). scruffylookin
I was really hoping Grimm would get the Cardinals job. That way in 2 years when he's fired (everyone gets fired from AZ), he could come here and seemlessly take over for a retiring Joe Gibbs. I agree with D'Pablo regarding Bugel. I'd get rid of him and bring in Grimm if Grimm left the Steelers because he was passed over. Bugel has been far from impressive with this line and 4 of the players on the line were already here when Bugel arrived. He has yet to find a player. Besides, if Bugel was doing a good job, there would have been no need to bring in Ray Brown as a "consultant" in midseason this past year. By the way, notice how the Oline play improved after Ray Brown came in. Coincidence?
mikeyf316
We should bring Grimm back to PLAY, not to coach.
neilclarke
Well, Russ just got shafted by the Steelers... They went with some assistant from Minnesota, I've never even heard of the guy.... I'm sure Russ is not too happy right now.
PCS
I would think it would have to be at least a lateral move for Russ to come to Washington. That isn't going to happen. Only other way would be to come in a lesser role to Washington with the promise of certain promotion. Again, that probably isn't going to happen. RWJ
I wouldn't be shocked to see Snyder at least have some type of conversation with Grimm if he became available. It will be interesting to see what transpires in the next couple of weeks.
