EersSkins05
Taking those numbers for what they are (preliminary to say the least), it's interesting to see Edwards with such a strong showing, having been out of the limelight for the last 2 years. EDIT- That said, I'd like to see that poll with Gore's talley included. He's just as likely to run as some of those included, and would certainly alter the balance of votes. Kilmer17
Edwards has been nonstop campaigning for months now. He basically lives in Iowa. It's not suprising.
G.A.C.O.L.B.
There was a story that came out a few days ago that said Gore wasn't running. He said something along the lines of "I"m running a different campaign now," I guess in reference to his global warming stuff. I would like to see him run though. I said in another thread that in all my canvassing, both for last years gubernatorial race in Va and for this years mid-terms I can't recall a single, yes a SINGLE, person who said anything good about Hillary. And I talked to thousands of people. I definitely heard a lot of negative talk about her, mainly that she isn't a good, or even a true, democrat. I just don't see her winning it. I agree, Hillary is not going to win the Dem primary but you don't have to say it out loud. You see the Republican media is attacking her non-stop so I say let them continue to waste their ammo on her and the let the ultimate candidate speak for themself to the right wingers. BTW, I was campaigning for Webb and I did speak to one person who liked Hillary. When I asked if she had heard of Jim Webb she said "Is that the guy who was in a commercial with Hillary Clinton?" (sidenote: That commercial was put out there by Republicans) I said yes, and she says "oooh I love Hillary so if she is on Webb's side than I am too." I was surprised because I thought she was going to hold it against Webb but in this case it had the exact opposite effect as the George Allen people intended. Midnight Judges
^^^ please define true democrat I'd like to hear this Well obviously it changes over the generations just like any other political party but right now and in 2003, I think true Democrats voted against the war in Iraq. True Democrats understand that when you bomb a country, they don't greet you with flowers afterwords. Obama was against the war publicly and said so in 2002. Carl Levin and Jim Webb were also against the war before the fact and for all the right reasons so they are true Democrats IMO. I'm not going to vote for Hillary or Edwards unless the Republicans run somebody horrible.
