Big Weirdo
Is he going to be fired for a first round exit from the playoffs just like Marty (most likely) will be?
twenty-eight
No way. I blame Mcnair for the loss
EnFoRcEr_uPu
I doubt it. And to be honest, I don't know that Marty will be either. As far Billick is concerned, I think he did enough to save his job this year, as he proved that injuries played a large role in the failure of that team last year. But I see them with a new OC as well, although I'm not sure who it is.

TD_washingtonredskins
I despise Brian Billick...he is so arrogant and all he's ever really done is ride the best defense in history to a Super Bowl championship. I'm glad the Ravens got smacked down at home and held to 6 points by a team that hasn't been able to stop anyone on the road all year long. Big Weirdo
I just remember reading somewhere he could be on the hot seat if something like this happened to him. I don't think he should be fired.
twenty-eight
And it wasnt a round one exit, round two:) He called what 4 runs in the second half? His offensive offense is the reason they lose. huh?....Mcnair through some interceptions that were rookie mistakes. So you thinkhe should be fired because of his play calling?

rictus58
Most likely he is going to stay & Rick Neuhiesel will be OC next year.
TD_washingtonredskins
Ok...Well ONE of the best defenses in history Thanks for the backup... The point remains the same. Billick (an offensive "genius") rode a top-3 defense of all time to a Super Bowl. Other than that, he's been fairly insignificant in Baltimore. jrockster21
best defense in history??? some would tend to disagree with you The 2000 Ravens were the best defense in history - and its not even close. They allowed just over 10 points per game over 16 games. Just over 10 points per game. That alone is ridiculous. Not to mention the fact that they allowed 5 points per game in their 4 playoff victories. Ridiculous. They had 4 shutouts. And most importantly, they had the worst QB to ever win a superbowl at the helm.
InTikiITrust
Isn't he known as an offensive coach? The Ravens offense has been, well, offensive for a while.

So you thinkhe should be fired because of his play calling? You are playing a horrific run defense, you have Jamal Lewis, you are within a score most of the game, and you call 4 runs in the second half. Billick has wasted top ten defenses for almost every season with terrible offenses. Billicks play calling was TERRIBLE. Colts had plenty of mistakes too. They called a better game. twenty-eight
POSTED 5:03 p.m. EST, January 17, 2007 THE BRAIN GETS EXTENDED Ravens coach Brian Billick has received a contract extension, according to the Baltimore Sun. However, the terms of the deal -- including its duration -- were not disclosed. For all anyone knows, then, Billick's contract was lengthened by a couple of days. Absent more information, we're inclined to think that the announcement is merely a P.R. effort aimed at getting folks not to suggest that Billick is on the hot seat in 2007. Even if, in reality, he is. And for good reason. The team has won one playoff game since 2001. The offense has been at times abysmal. In a playoff loss at home to a maligned Colts defense, the Ravens mustered six -- six! -- points. Sorry, Brian. We like you. We really do. But, sooner or later, owner Steve Bisciotti is going to want his own guy in there.
