Zen-like Todd
Ok, so they just played the commercial for Smokin' Aces during the Chicago Seattle game. It looks like a flick in the tradition of Guy Ritchie (Snatch, Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels), his protege (Layer Cake) and Tarantino. Pure fun. Some of the reviews aren't so hot, but I don't think they appreciate the guilty pleasure aspect. I have to see this when it comes out. Anyone else feel the same way? http://www.apple.com/trailers/universal/smokinaces/hd/
dfitzo53
My roommate and I were just talking about it while watching the game. In my opinion Jeremy Piven is always entertaining, so I may go see it.
jrockster21
What's he doin? He's finishing his senior thesis. Pigman is trying to prove the Caine-Hackman theory. No matter what time it is, 24 hours a day, you can find a Michael Caine or Gene Hackman movie playing on TV. That's his thesis? Yes! That's the beauty of college these days, Tommy! You can major in Game Boy if you know how to bull****. Jeremy Piven is hilarious...I'll definitely go see this flick!!

DOOG
Looks interesting...not sure it's a 12.00 ticket good....but lots of blood and violence is always a winner.... :logo:

EvoSkins
Droz: Want some advice? Tom: Well, yeah. Droz: Well, here's all you need to know. Classes: nothing before eleven. Beer: it's your best friend, you drink a lot. Women? You're a freshman, so it's pretty much out of the question. Will you have a car? Tom: Uh, no. Droz: Someone on your floor will. Find them and make friends with them on the first day. Droz: Ok, now it's true, the majority of students today are so cravenly PC, they wouldn't know a good time if it was sitting on their face, but there's one thing that will always unite us and them. They're young. They may not realize it yet. They've got the same raging hormones, the same self-destructive desire to get boldly trashed and wildly out of control. Look out that window! That's not a protest! That is cry for help! They're begging us... [shouts] Droz: Please have a party! Feed us drinks! [Continues shouting] Droz: Get us laid! Aahhhhhh! TaylorPickSix
Ok the quotes got random but I saw the movie tonight and came away impressed. Some parts were a little weird (the scene with the guy who got his fingers shot off and the random mom and chinese kid...strange...), but overall I liked it more than Sin City. hu-bison-skinsfan
Dang -- I want to see it right now! I love movies with a bunch of frantic action and I especially like movies with female hitmen (hitwomen?). Besides, I gotta support Taraji Henson -- an HU Bison! f_trizzy
A lot of people seem disappointed by this movie but I loved it. I agree that there some plot holes as well as some off the wall scenes but somehow I think the humor fit. 2 of the most obvious ones: when the one Tremor brother is playing with (no spoiler here) mouth after he kills him. I laughed most because of the music playing in the back ground, it was used in the Good, Bad, and the Ugly. Also the karate kid getting "excited" while doing karate. Song question for those of you that have seen the movie. What is the song that plays when Lazlo comes into the suite and Buddy is in the bathroom looking at his eyes in the mirror?
