Number5
Lol.....Eagles have a fan on the RED CARPET. http://www.philly.com/mld/philly/16450547.htm Sideshow | Melissa Rivers has eyes on EaglesBy Tirdad Derakhshani COMPILED BY INQUIRER STAFF Forget Monday's Golden Globes. Melissa Rivers, princess of the red carpet celeb interview, is geared for the gridiron this weekend, and she's desperate for the Eagles to take home a victory from New Orleans tonight. "I'm a football freak. I watch every weekend," said Rivers, who teams with her mother, Joan, on the TV Guide Channel to dish with awards nominees and guests at the Emmys, Oscars, Grammys and Globes. "I'll be watching my Eagles," said Rivers, a Birds booster since she went to the University of Pennsylvania. She and mom were publicizing their awards season coverage at a Television Critics Association breakfast. "I thought it was all over when [Donovan] McNabb went down. 'Oh, God, Jeff Garcia,' I said. But look at them now. I hope they beat New Orleans," she said, though, as a realist, she stopped short of guaranteeing a win. Joan? Not such a big fan. Who's her favorite in the Super Bowl? "I'm praying for the Dodgers," she said. - Jonathan Storm

Number5
Lito shows confidence in his teammates....shame he can't make the trip http://www.philly.com/mld/philly/sports/football/16451848.htm Lito: Birds can win without meBy DANA PENNETT O'NEIL oneild@phillynews.com THE QUESTION posed on the television screens hung inside the Eagles locker room was fairly straightforward, "Can the Eagles win without Lito Sheppard?" Leaning against a door to the trainer's room, the man in question gave a quick answer. "They can win without me," Sheppard said on Thursday afternoon. "We've done it before with numerous players. I haven't talked to the guys about replacing me or anything. I just told them to do what you do. They wouldn't be in the NFL if they couldn't play." Really, as difficult as the challenge of facing Drew Brees and his potent New Orleans offense is for the Eagles sans Sheppard, Sheppard is in an equally difficult spot. He would love to make the trip to New Orleans, but he needs rehab on his dislocated elbow back home, not to mention that flying with a severely swollen arm probably isn't the greatest idea. Chachie
Good luck to my ATN bros, the "extremeeags" tonight. I'll be rooting for New Orleans, but not because I'm going against you guys. It's all about the disaster-relief tip for me. I'm backing the Saints all the way now that my Skins have tanked because I want to see that town have some good fortune. If Philly wins I'll be glad for you guys. I'm ready for some football. Here's to high-scoring, turnovers, TD kick returns, and some all-around slobber-knocking all weekend long. Stuckinphilly1
What's up guys...Skins fan in enemy territory!!! Tonights a win-win for me. I admited I'd pull for NO (before knowing they would play Philly) so they could say F-U to Katrina and the Chargers so they could say a nice big heafty F*** YOU to the whole Manning family. Honestly, I wish I could uh "touch the sky" #5 but that can't happen for a while. I'm stuck hearing Fly blah blah blah every hour today at work. At least I'll get to see one game then home for the Birds game. Never been to Tony Lukes inside joint for a game, you??? I'm thinking of heading over for the game, not sure. I'm sure a trade McNabb and get a QB in the draft idea will be thrown in...It'll just be hilarious. C&P in South or up in the NE??? South I hear is the next best thing to being at the Linc. Stuckinphilly1
Oh yeah, the new place Tony Lukes built...indoors...FULL MENU, can still get steaks but a much bigger menu than the outside place. Their roasted pork is the shiz.... they got HD TV's all over the place, you seriously can't sit anywhere in the place without looking at a TV. Gotta imagine it's a great place for games but haven't been.

I'd rather watch re-runs of Cold Pizza then listen to them chumps! But you are right, especially the morning crew....what a bunch of dopes! C&P in the NE is cool, but that Italian Dinner is so friggin better. I think it's called Nick's or something like that. The South Philly one is great......it's even better though at night because of the waitresses! I guess they save the pretty ones for after 7 PM.

Once the season is over we gotta chill dude. Hopefully you're a Phillies fan. I normally get season tickets for my family, but my dad and sons only go to see the Mets, Cards and of course the Dodgers...... We'll be in touch.... Oh, another place is Champs at Franklin Mills! My brother (not related but you can call us brothers) is the lead chef up there. He brings me these Moz Sticks and Chicken Fingers that are the size of an 8 year old's foot! Trust me, Champs is the truth!
