PFT Was wrong again

They needed to hire Norm Chow. He would have been the best choice for their franchise QB. He spread the ball around to plenty of playmakers at USC so he is qualified to handle the stars on their offense.
Yeah, I don't know how hiring Sherman is going to change things up so much from Denny Green ... I guess they're going through a former NFC North Head Coaches phase. I think they should hire Marty Mornhinweg next.

Hopefully Norm Chow gets his shot somewhere ... if the Titans continue the run they were on at the end of this season, he'll definitely start getting a lot more opportunities.

Just when you think they're starting to build something in the desert, what with a talent laden roster and all, they go and remind you why they're the freakin Cardinals.

Terrible hiring, Sherman is not a good head coach. They'd have been much better off with Norm Chow, not to mention keeping Dennis Green and getting him a CB and a few Guards. I put the over under at 2 season for Sherman.

Norm Chow and a good established DC - that'd be a dangerous team.

Mike Martz is interviewing with Miami - that could be interesting.

The Arizona Cardinals are bringing back Texans assistant head coach Mike Sherman for another interview on Jan. 11. The Cardinals want to hear more from the former Green Bay Packers head coach, and Sherman isn't the only one.

The Cardinals also want to speak again with one of the assistants involved in this weekend's playoffs -- either San Diego's offensive coordinator Cam Cameron, Chicago's defensive coordinator Ron Rivera or Indianapolis' assistant head coach Jim Caldwell -- after any of them drop out of the playoffs.

Plus, Arizona is tracking what Pittsburgh decides to do and could be interested in talking again with either Steelers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt or assistant head coach Russ Grimm -- whichever one doesn't get the head-coaching job in Pittsburgh.

This hasn't happened yet. Just speculation from PFT and even in their own article- they say the Cards are still interviewing.

While it may well be Sherman- there has been no official announcement of such a hire.

ding, ding, ding

some people like to go off the deep end over rumors before double checking first

Cardinals | Whisenhunt to have second interview

Thu, 11 Jan 2007 15:23:03 -0800

Darren Urban, of the East Valley Tribune, reports Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt will have a second interview with the Arizona Cardinals regarding their vacant head coaching position.

For what it's worth, the word on Norm Chow in the past was he did not interview well!:whoknows:

you guys that bash pft make me laugh, almost as much as those that buy into what they say. they don't claim to be anything other than a RUMOR MILL.

i go there and read it, but it's like standing in line at the grocery store and reading weekly world news. i know that martians didn't abduct mary kate and ashley olsen, but gossip is fun.

no, they say that when they are wrong, (and that's been just recently) but take full credit when the get one right... they claim they have many reliable sources, and write as if the "rumors" are true
