What will season ticket holders think?

Of this "grand" idea to give one team a "home" game across the pond.

"San Francisco, Seattle and Miami were among six NFL teams selected as potential home teams for a regular-season game next year in Britain or Germany."

It was fine when it was the lousy Cardinals and (at the time) 49ers, but definitely sucks for teams to have to make that trip. Not to mention give up a home game.

Maybe they'll pull a double whammy and only televise it on the NFL Network.

I don't know what ticket holders think, but I'd be absolutely pissed if my team had to travel to Europe to play a game. Period. I don't know what the competition committee is smoking, but I want some of it.

I'm all for the globilization of the greatest sport on Earth, but let's get these Europeans TV's and tickets to NFL Europe games. You want to put a game in Europe, make it the third game of the preseason so they'll see NFL stars for the longest amount of time possible. Not the regular season.

I don't like this whole idea of playing regular season games overseas period. The league is just asking for a similar situation they faced last year when the Giants got the extra home game against the seats. A competitive advantage/disadvantage argument can easily be made for/against a team that either has one less home game or one less away game.

I don't want our team over there. If they did choose us, I'd say wait until the final preseason game, send the rookies over there, and keep our starters here at home.

It's not preseason, it's REGULAR season. It's almost as bad as the Giants having that away game at the Meadowlands against the Saints last year.

I just don't get why the NFL is doing this. Do they REALLY think the Brits are going to start cheering/following the Seattle Seahawks during the regular season when they will only get to see them live once out of every 29 years? NFL football will not catch on in England. They've got soccer, and the world's best sport - rugby. They don't even know what a "TV Timeout" is!
