DRSmith
London Fetcher is going to be a free agent this year he would be a solid addition to the LB core any thoughts?
whitejimmy
He knows Gregg Williams' system and Gregg knows how to use him. I'd sign him and Fred Smoot for the same reasons.
blitzpackage
London Fetcher is going to be a free agent this year he would be a solid addition to the LB core any thoughts? The only thought I have is I wish we could borrow the Delorian from Doc Brown and go back in time to before the free agency era. Then we might would still have a competitive team from year to year. This annual purging and reshuffling is getting really old IMO.

If it was me I would only bring him and a CB in keep working with Rogers and move Springs to SS have Arch bulk up a bit and move him back to LB which he was converted from. Brandon Lloyd Christmas
as much as id be down with this, hes actually old. 31 and will be 32 in may and even though hes a beast (top 5 in tackles 4 of the last 5 years, 4 INTs this year) we dont need anymore old guys on defense. id rather sign a younger LB or draft one. Fred Jones
He will be 32 before training camp. We do not need to sign another aging LB to an expensive contract, even if that player has proven to stay healthy through his career. Eventually, they wear down. CGSKINS
No he is too old, we need to go young on D. Lance briggs
PleaseGoForTheWin
He's too old and probably too expensive. Let's draft an LB (and a DT if we trade down), sign a good CB, and then work with what we have.
Thirtyfive2seven
My mom is going to be a free agent; should we sign her? She's a big fat, nasty, lean mean tackling machine. Man, this one time when I was a kid I came home late and she chased me down and beat me like a red headed step child. We should sign her UP! If it were up to me, I'd send a robot back in time to 1965, with instructions to off the parents of all Redskins free agent busts, along with Cerrato's parents and to enroll Danny Snyder in a vocational pre-school where he would learn to work on automobiles (hopefully changing his career path so that he can improve the american auto industry). Then again, someone else (probably from the cowboys) would send Tony Homo back in time so that he could stop that robot. Unfortunately for the cowboys, Homo would bobble his weapon. Having failed his mission, he would then be drafted to serve in Vietnam, where he would.... I don't know where I'm going with this so i'll stop. Pocono
He's always been one of my favorite players because he was an undersized undrafted FA who made it big. Anyone know what's up with him becomming London Fletcher-Baker? I mean if his child married the a child of golfer Ian Baker-Finch their name would be Fletcher-Baker-Baker-Finch. I hope the kid doesn't play football because now Bryant Gumble calls Frank Gore Al Gore so what the hell would he do with Fletcher-Bakker-Baker-Finch? http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=4539
Widget_5
Yet but 2 or 3 years gives the team time to develop some young talent at the LB position. It people in the front office that think like this, which is killing this team, WE DON'T NEED ANY MORE OLD AGE PENSIONERS, thank you. I'd rather go for L Briggs (27), C June (28), N Diggs (29) or maybe A Thomas (30) if we're going thru FA. Personally I think we should try and draft a LB hopefully Willis or Posluszny. Big C
32 for a middle linebacker is not old. look at zach thomas, bruschi, and some outside linebackers like seau etc. he has 3-4 good years left in him
Brandon Lloyd Christmas
after looking at some other good LBs names, its true they seem like an older unit as far as productivity goes, but still, 32 is only worth 3 more season, id rather look at longer term solutions that stop gap players. DRSmith
She only has one sack but it's big and hairy. That is too bad because Feltch had 2 sacks 4 ints and one TD maybe she can try out for the cowboys.
laxpck
This is one of the best possible FA moves we can make this off season. Draft the Huge DT and put someone in at MLB who knows the system and doesnt get neutralized by a FB on EVERY PLAY.

DRSmith
The question is what do we do with excess LBs? Can anymore be moved into a DE position allowing either Daniels or Wynn to move to DT?
BKSkinsFan
I'd love to see Adalius Thomas here, but he may be too rich for us, we need to be a little conservative this offseason. Huge moves garner huge attention with bloated expectations causing things to crash and burn if everything does not go as planned. Fletcher could be nice being around here a year or 2 teaching our newly drafted Patrick Willis the ropes. I doubt either actually happens though. I still believe our biggest need is at DT, and would be nice to see us use our first round pick to try to fill this hole instead. A more productive d-line will make all other areas of our defense look better. Perhaps picking up Terdell Sands from Oakland could be a quiet move but pay huge dividends if he turns out to be the beast he's capable of being at 6'7 335lbs. As much as I like Philip Daniels, he could be replaced by either Justin Smith or Bryan Thomas, both have more than doubled his production in tackles and sacks this season.
