I tried to bring up that particular thread,but my profile wouldn't go back that far...(if moderators can find it for me Jan.7 2004 birthday wishlist,then you can merge these 2 threads together if you can) So I don't know if it was just a coincidence or fate waggin' it's little tale,so I will try again with a much more detailed version this year...(Lord knows we need it!!) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael_33's 2007-08 Washington Redskins Birthday wishlist 1)I would like all of our key players to stay and remain healthy throughout the 2007 campaign... 2)I would like no less than 12 wins and a division title and a 1st round bye including Home field advantage throughout the Playoffs! 3)I want Jason Campbell to throw for 33 TD's (my sig) or more! 4)I want the Redskins front office to either draft the best DT/DE in the draft or trade down and aquire multiple picks,but still use the picks on the first day(1st,2nd,3rd rounds) on the defensive side of the ball....1 of those picks MUST be a D-lineman....!or more....The rest at their discretion. 5)I want Gregg Williams fired!But I want the guy who replaces him to be legendary as a defensive guru...Someone who knows how to field the top 11 players on defense and who can adjust at halftime when times are tough...Someone who is also willing to start a rookie(s) if they happen to be better at their respected position!Someone who's EGO is not as big as the team...Also...Like gibbs....Someone who is a players coach and the defense responds and respects him! 6)We are on a mission!It's a different Gibbs era...I want us to wear the Black uni's this up and coming season....At least for half the games! 7)I want Mark Brunell to either be Released,Restructure or retire this next season...Regardless of the fact,I want Kurt Warner signed to a cap friendly deal for 3 years... 8)I want Ron Wolf to sign on as the Redskins GM and to help scout the NFL draft and current roster /depth for this next season... 9)I want Cooley re-signed to a long term deal...I also want T.J duckett and Dockery retained for at least another 2 years...I want to retain Adam Archuleta....I want to retain Brandon lloyd,unless a trade can involve him getting us a 3rd round pick or better...Warrick Holdman MUST be released...!Todd Collins must be released...Wynn should restructure or be traded or be released...Daniels must be retained as a backup... 10)Here are a list of players I would like either brought in and/or signed if the cap allows us to do so... 1)We must sign Justin Smith I would like to look at Boss Bailey,Ty law,Fred Smoot or Charles Woodson...(I want 1 of these 4 signed no matter what!) Boy...I sure hope my Birthday wish comes true...(And don't worry...If we go 12-4 or better I will still have time for my next birthday to wish for a SUPERBOWL WIN) but I wanted to start off realistic right now! Its a nice thought, but not gonna happen. The Skins could sign the best player ever and have him tear his ACL on the first day of training camp like LeCharles Bentley. 2)I would like no less than 12 wins and a division title and a 1st round bye including Home field advantage throughout the Playoffs! Not gonna happen. With the high hopes for this season with everybody and the Grandmother saying that the Skins were back to the promised land, I will be happy with an 8-8 or 9-7 year. Playoffs would be an added bonus. 3)I want Jason Campbell to throw for 33 TD's (my sig) or more! Not gonna happen. Peyton Manning had 31 TDs this year and has Harrison and Wayne to throw to. Campbell has one elite reciever with no clear number two reciever. First thing I agree with. They either need to draft the can't miss defensive lineman at #6 or need to trade back for more picks. Not gonna happen. You can't judge a coach on one lackluster season. Williams may be a prick and all about himself, but he has shown he can get the job done. If he is fired, then what legendary coach will be next? Ron Rivera will most likely be a head coach next season as well as Rex Ryan. Let me get this straight, you want to dump one washed up old aging QB for another washed up old aging QB? Please think before you speak. Wolf is retired as will stay that way. Duckett is gone. Arch Deluxe is in limbo, I have no clue what they are going to do with him. Lloyd will be on this team next season and no one will want to trade for him. I agree with you on Holdman but disagree about Collins. Totally agreed. I don't know why ,after one bad season, many people seem to want him gone. He is IMO the best DC in the NFL and I love his attitude which gets the most out of his players.
