Fury010
We need to trim down the staff. Too many differing opinions just cloud the message to the players. I would let the following go: Don Breaux Jack Burns Kirk Olividatti Steve Jackson Dale Lindsey The other titles should be: Al Saunders- Offensive Cooridinator Greg Williams- Defensive Coordinator Joe Bugel- Offensive Line Coach Greg Blache- Defensive Line Coach Stan Hixon- Receivers Coach Rennie Simmons- Tight Ends Coach Danny Smith- Special Teams Monte Coleman- Linebackers Coach Jerry Gray- Secondary Earnest Byner- Running Backs Bill Lazor- QB Coy Gibbs- Quality Control-Offense and Defense We have too many titles with no accountability. DrunkenMaster
Jerry Gray should definitely be in complete control of the secondary and Jackson should be gone. Everyone else was more a player talent problem then a coaching problem.
bulldog
If we can believe what Portis says Gibbs handled the rush offense while Saunders handled the pass offense in meetings and game prep. That is wacked. I don't see that kind of marriage producing consistent, winning results. You need ONE voice on offense and ONE voice on defense with the assistants then echoing the coordinators and working POSITIVELY to implement the schemes, not undermine them as Steve Jackson evidently did this year by pouting on the sidelines.
