cpsmstrm
Darren Sharper expressed doubt yesterday about coming back to minnesota. Now if you watch a lot of football, i think you would agree with me that he is a big time playmaker. He's a guy that racks up ints all season. He's a leader and plays with a lot of passion. What if we brought him in, and drafted another SS for him to groom? Thoughts??
RTerps2002
Why not just let Preilou play and spen the money on the line
dachozenone
1. I thought Sharper played FS? 2. Dont see him being leaps and bounds above Vincent or Pierson.
PleaseGoForTheWin
Why not just let Preilou play and spen the money on the line Exactly. Alternatively, Springs might move to safety and then we could spend the money on a new corner.

Bhutanibeast
I dont know about Springs back there..at safety, you need someone who can run very fast. and hit very hard. Springs, has definitely lost a step and doesnt really lay the wood. Sharper on the other hand is a great playmaker, and hits hard (remember the MIN game this year) and has plenty of interceptions. Although he might be a little too costly and a little old.
RTerps2002
Why is the grass always greener on the other side? Preilou and Fox will be fine. I don't care who you have in your secondary if you can't rush the passer and stop the run it is senless to upgrade the Safety position

Art McDonough
If anyone should be moved to safety, it should be Rogers. He's fast, hard hitting, and has very average coverage skills. But I absolutely agree that Taylor, Prieleau and Fox will be fine and Springs, Rogers, and a new face should battle it out for 1, 2, and 3 at corner. We much more need help at middle linebacker and on the D line.

jonjeff
We had the perfect safety to compliment Taylor in Ryan Clark. Once again our bumbling front office left a "core Redskin" walk away and we are still trying to find a safety. What a joke this organization is. I don't care who you have in your secondary if you can't rush the passer and stop the run it is senless to upgrade the Safety position Have you been watching Fox? Fox is not fine. He is was one the reasons why our secondary is so poor besides the fact Shawn Springs has been out, Carlos was dropping interceptions(he should have had over 6 this year), and Sean Taylor degressed for some reason. Darren Sharper is to old probably. He is losing a step. His brother Jamie Sharper has lost his touch and Darren is probably around his age now. jivelikenice
my ideal secondary would be taylor and springs at safety and clements and rogers at corner. for the few of you saying we need a hard hitter at safety just look at this offseason. archuleta is a hitter but he sucked for us, u cant have two run stopping hard hitting safeties you need at least one that is good in coverage and springs can be that guy. spanishomelette
Certainly Springs presence on the field makes a big difference in the play of the defense. I would think it's not as much his physical ability, but his understanding of how and where the D should be played. Sean Taylor appears not as gifted in this regard yet. RTerps2002
With no pass rush you could have any DB's in the league and it dosen't matter
Riggo-toni
We have the worst LBs (outside of Marcus) in the NFL, and an over the hill gang on the DL. NO WAY should we continue pouring out BIG bucks on safeties. We wouldn't offer Pierce a $4m SB to extend, but we throw $10m in guaranteed $$ to a role-playing strong safety.
