skin4evere4life
Then what do we make of the AA signing? Is the front ofc doing any homework? I think they put us further in the hole with their off season moves..... we cant cut him, who wants him? To pay him that much to play Spc Teams is crazy..... Our front Ofc is 'Lunchin' our scout team is horrible when it comes to evaluating veteran talent this goes back to Bruce Smith, Deione Sanders, Jake Reed until now with Adam Archuleta, Brandon Lloyd, those tight ends we signed Novack and the list goes on and on...we really need to find new scouts
pR0JEkT 21
Here are the pictures I mentioned to you guys earlier...these pics are of Vernon Fox back in high school, I actually took both these pictures, the top picture Vernon is the guy on the far left and underneath,... well, hes the guy flexing and showing off his abs. To remind you this back in 1997 senior year.
Clark84
Let's not assume Fox is great because of today. The great thing is the improvement you see each time he plays, that is encouraging. He definitely deserves to continue playing because that is the best play we have gotten from both safety positions thus far this season.
Reddrummer
can we move arch to linebacker? or is he too small can we move arch to another team, or is he too much of a bust?
phatboy41
I don't think anyone was implying that Vernon Fox was going to be a pro bowler. But I didn't see what someone said "he was not good in run support" I saw Fox making tackles and hitting pretty damn hard. He was good in pass coverage also. I don't think this man is amazing based on one day of play, but I was extremely happy with what he showed everyone.... as for AA, missed a block on Special Teams to allow a punt blocked on us. Has done nothing thus far. I haven't given up all hope on AA but if Fox plays as well as he did today throughout, I saw we give him a longer contract and send AA off. If Fox doesn't show anything great and does bad, put in AA, at this point in the season we need to experiment with our team.

Seabee1973
If the defense had played liek this to start the season we probably wouldnt be having this conversation Arch was not the only guy getting burned on pass plays

phishisthegreatstuff
i was at the game and he played really well along with the rest of the secondary. REDSKINZ-RIDEORDIE
Great INT. When he got that INT, something in me told me that we had that game. I didnt think it would be easy, as it wasnt, but I was amped!!!!!!!

robotfire
Fox has been really impressive. But why don't we play Archuleta the way we agreed we'd play him when we signed him? He's supposed to be used to blow up the LOS and/or blitz. The guy has great speed and can hit like Sean Taylor. Why we don't use him that way is beyond me.They're trying to get him to want to leave. riggins44
I was very impressed with him today. The coaches used him brilliantly today. He would creap over to Smith's side for deep help. Basically the scheme took Smith out of the game.

Califan007 The Constipated
He played alright... on a scale of 10, i'd give him a 7.5He was very good against the pass. He was suspect against the run. The Panthers did not establish the run and did not use a lot of playaction today, so our secondary was spared for the most part. The jury is still out. You can't make a career after one game. Around here you can...lol
llcamino
Yeah, but did you see how great Archuleta looked on Special Teams. He was always the 5th person to get to the pile when the tackle was made by someone else. That guy is a stud! I highly doubt Vernon Fox could be that consistent on Special Teams! redskins55
Fox actually played last week against Tampa. He rebounded well from a lack luster performance. Lets see if he can do it each game. I was very impressed that he gave the secondary that much needed spark.

I was very impressed that he gave the secondary that much needed spark. He did not have a lack luster performance last week, you are losing your mind, he played 3 quarters and had a decent game. Wasn't that noticable, but he was around the ball all the time never got beat and ha d a few tackles 2 on special teams. He is going to take advantage of the times he gets too start trust me!
