skins4eva
Well, he's run our franchise into the ground and he seems to be more interested in hob-knobing with Tomcat--which may be very good for the team.

kovachs
It depends what you want as a fan. Do you want a winning well run team, or do you want the most profitable franchise. If you want the most profitable franchise he's a great owner. If you want a well run team he's the donkey of the decade.

gowen
i don't understand all the snyder bashing. so things haven't worked out the way we wanted it to go. i see a man who tried to put a winning team on the field. every coach he has hired, he asked what do need and went out to get them at any price. how many other owners would have done that. he went out and hired joe gibbs at a time when no one thought it could be done. so things haven't worked out but i haven't seen any owner who has tired harder. maybe he hasn't done everthing right but hindsight is always 20/20. Why bash Snyder, lets start at the begining: - Snyder fired Norv Turner with three games left with the Redskins still in playoff contention. - He then elevated Terry Robiskie to Head Coach for the remaining three games and forced him to play his QB choice that he had brought in and paid more money, Jeff George over Brad Johnson who had taken us to the playoffs the year before. - He then brings in Marty Schottenhiemer who after initially struggling in the first half of the season, seemed to have the team in the right direction but was released after the season because he wanted less of Snyder's meddling. - He then brings in the "old ball coach", Steve Spurrier and then hires as his 2nd in command, Marvin Lewis who has to teach Spurrier how to run an NFL team/practice and was only going to be here short term since he was on everyones short list for a NFL head coaching spot. - And now we have Gibbs 2.0 with the high priced associate/assistant/offensive/defensive/quality control/consultant coaching staff. So that means that every season, the only thing that has been constant has been change. We have new coaches/players/schemes or some combination thereof. And that is directly attributable to Dan Snyder's management of this organization.
jimster
- Snyder fired Norv Turner with three games left with the Redskins still in playoff contention. he admitted he should have waited a few weeks to do that. BTW, in the six years that Norv has been gone, he's been with four teams and not one of them has been to the playoffs. - - He then elevated Terry Robiskie to Head Coach for the remaining three games and forced him to play his QB choice that he had brought in and paid more money, Jeff George over Brad Johnson who had taken us to the playoffs the year before. - fiction. - this was another speculation by the media.- - He then brings in Marty Schottenhiemer who after initially struggling in the first half of the season, seemed to have the team in the right direction but was released after the season because he wanted less of Snyder's meddling. - Marty was a horrible GM. He was offered to stay while Snyder would hire a GM. Everything Snyder wanted Marty to do here, San Diego wanted as well. - - And now we have Gibbs 2.0 with the high priced associate/assistant/offensive/defensive/quality control/consultant coaching staff. So that means that every season, the only thing that has been constant has been change. We have new coaches/players/schemes or some combination thereof. And that is directly attributable to Dan Snyder's management of this organization. - we've had the same coaching staff for 3 years now. Gibbs is the one that brought in Saunders.
