Tony Romo vs Jason Campbell

"Now admit it, even the staunchest supporters of this move to Tony Romo sits to pee as quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys in mid-stream, with troubled waters up over their waders, couldn't possibly have expected all this.

Romo sits to pee leading the Cowboys to a victory over the previously undefeated Indianapolis Colts.

Romo sits to pee going 3-1 as a starter, and by all rights should be 4-0 if not for a missed block on that game-winning field-goal attempt in Washington.

Romo sits to pee, in the second halves of the past two games, completing 20 of 21 passes for 274 yards, one touchdown, a QB rating of 134.6 and leading the Cowboys to one comeback victory.

Romo sits to pee completing 32 of 42 passes on third down (76.2 percent) for 483 yards, 11.5 yards an attempt, one touchdown and a 57.1 percent conversion rate.

Romo sits to pee in four starts completing 87 of 124 passes (70.2 percent) for 1,056 yards, 8.5 yards per attempt, five touchdowns, two interceptions, five sacks and a QB rating of 102.8.

Romo sits to pee, with 151 attempts, half as many as 10 of the other rated NFC quarterbacks, leading the conference with a 100.0 overall QB rating, not to mention being first in completion percentage and first in average gain per attempt.

Romo sits to pee leading the Cowboys to 11 offensive touchdowns in four games, a 50 percent third-down conversion rate and an average of nearly 33 minutes of possession time.

Is this for real?"

This is why I believe he's the "real deal."

For a dallas fan, the only complaint I would have is his deep ball. His arm ain't NFL strength, IMHO.

He threw two beautiful sideline deep passes for TD's vs. AZ. Also, the dropped pass to T.O. vs. the skins was a beautiful deep pass as well. He doesn't have the strongest arm but he throws a great deep pass.

Whoever says that Romo sits to pee is ahead of Campbell obviously knows nothing about football. Campbell is head and shoulders above Romo sits to pee, plain and simple.

Romo sits to pee lovers will be hiding under the rock once he comes back down to earth.

Obviously.

Obviously.

 Simply. Yet effective.

Really is not possible to say Campbell is head and shoulders above Romo sits to pee after he has only played on game. Plus the skins suck and the Cowboys dont. We have no defense. Though give it time, Campbell will be head and shoulders above Romo sits to pee. :D:silly: I tell you he is the black Payton Manning. ;)

But the long bomb to TO wasn't the best thing in the world.....Hell, even Brunell could make that throw when he was behind the defensive....But I didn't see the 52 YArd TD bomb, but TO ran for about 20 yards so that is about a 30-40 yard past.

His major fault is a bomb near the side, I remember watching the panthers game and he could not hit that.

Kev.. man, now you're really reaching. Obviously you don't watch every play of every Cowboys game. He has every throw dog! He's erased my doubts game after game.

I think Brunell could most def make that pass, he made those two great passes in Dallas last year.

This is very impressive - but i think we're going to have to agree to disagree here. There are a ton of QBs that have lit the league on fire only to fizzle. While he does look very, very good right now - I still believe it is too early to tell.

Case in point - 1996, Ty Detmer:

Hardly the real deal.

If Campbell starts this way you wouldn't be breaking your neck to discount his achievements. I understand it's your job to cast doubts on Romo sits to pee right now. Only time will tell. I sincerley believe he's not a flash in the pan. We'll see.

I am not discounting his acheivements - he has played very, very well - I am saying 4 game is too small of a sample. That's all. And I would probably be overly excited about Campbell as well...and you would be discounting his acheivements...

You never cease to amaze me my friend. I would say with all those stats I just read about Romo sits to pee that I believe he is on his way to being the real deal. I also think that Campbell showed signs that he could be the real deal but if he starts putting up numbers like Romo sits to pee I would be ecstatic. Romo sits to pee also has a great deep ball, for some reason he looks like he doesnt have that strong of an arm but the ball is always on the money and he seems to have one of the quickest releases in the leauge. For the sake of this arguement I really hope that both Campbell and Romo sits to pee become great QB's, and I really think both teams nailed it on QB's this time. :2cents:

How did you guys get 8 pages out of this?

Fans of both teams have reason to be happy. Guys in their mid-30's who weren't getting it done got benched in favor of young guys who justified the decision with their play. IMO, that makes the 2006 season a success for both clubs.

Romo sits to pee has shown a little more to this point than Campbell. The stats and the records prove that. The Redskins and the Cowboys have very similar schedules down the stretch. The Bucs play both teams 5 days apart. In the last 5 weeks, both teams play the Falcons, the Saints, the Eagles and the Giants. We'll be comparing apples and apples soon enough.

You've been here how long? We've gotten 8 pages out of this arguement before either took a snap!!

Wanna see a real stir?
