The Bill Callahan era began here at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. For the first quarter it was really, really bad football being played by both teams.
The Redskins were determined to establish the Run game. The First Quarter all they established was that they still couldn’t run. Or pass. Or do much of anything.

It wasn’t until the 2nd Quarter that Peterson was able to start ripping the worst Run D in the League for chunks of 18 & 24 yards. The Skins managed to score a TD with a 25 yard pass to Scary Terry McLaurin.

The Dolphins would open the Second Half only managing five plays before the Redskins would get the ball punted back to them. They would run a balanced run/pass attack of six plays for 70 yards in 1:25 ending in McLaurin’s second touchdown of the day. The Defense would then get a turnover allowing the Offense to get to Field Goal range and add another 3 points to make the score 17-3.

To open the Fourth Quarter, Hopkins would miss a 55 yard Field Goal, leaving the score at 17-3.  After being sacked five times, the Dolphins would pull their own switcharoo at QB and go to Ryan “Neckbeard” Fitzpatrick which resulted in a touchdown drive for them, making it 17-10. They went for & recovered the Onside Kick. They also managed to not score any points after that. The Dolphins would find theirselves with ball at the 2:00 Warning. Fitzpatrick would take them on a 9 play 75 yard touchdown drive with six seconds remaining on the clock. Miami went for the win with the 2 Point Conversion and failed. The Redskins would recover the onside kick by Miami and Keenum took a knee to get the Redskins their first win of the season.

Notice these are the exact same uniforms as the 75th Anniversary without the Yellow helmet. So that uniform seems to look good with either helmet.

The beagles wore white at home in last year's contest.

i assume they will again. expect to see the burgundy jerseys again. it would be nice to see some gold pants thrown in as well.

You guys know that when this hits 100 on the merge-o-meter we're handing out permanent NNT's, right? :D

I volunteer to be the 100th thread starter!

WHY can't they just wear burgundy tops at home. White tops are for the away team. But I'm seeing more and more teams do it. Of course Dallas, Philly, Tampa, and I'm sure there's a couple others. Just wear burgundy at home.

I can't believe I'm posting in this thread, but Dallas, NYG and Redskins tend to wear white at home. Which I don't mind, personally. It's kindof bizarre, white is supposed to be the road color.

From earlier in the year, the 'Skins were going to wear White at home for the first several games because it's a "cooler" color in the heat, then switch to the burgundy after the mid-way point.

As for tomorrow's game, unless I'm mistaken, Philly wore white at home against Pitt. And wore white last year when we played them. So I'm guessing the 'Skins are going to be in Burgundy jerseys and white pants. I personally don't like the gold pants, but that's just me.

I wouldn't mind the burgundy and gold, if the gold pants were really gold instead of that yellow color, which I really hate.:helmet:

Also, I like the arrow helmets the best and a close runner up is the feather up the back helmet!

Since the 2006 season is about to start, I'd like to propose a uniform change for next season.

Let's get rid of the 'white' uniform, and bring back the Burgandy & Gold.

Here are my proposals:

Home Games: Burgandy tops, with Gold Numbers/Names, Gold Pants with Burgandy stripes on each side of the pants seam. Helmet: Gold Helmet with Burgandy "R" surrounded by Burgandy circle of feathers, with Burgandy stripe down center of helmet - i.e.; "Lombardi Helmet."

Away Games: Gold Tops, with Burgandy Numbers/Names, Burgandy pants with Gold stripes on each side of pants seam. Helmet: Burgandy Helmet with Gold "R" surrounded by Gold circle of feathers, with Burgandy stripe down center of helmet.

Comments???

...for the 'skins to don the burgundy on burgundy.

That's right. Burgundy jerseys. Burgundy pants.

White-on-white has (quietly) returned this season, and has been a success.

But I think it's time for the new look of 2008...

why do you think that?

we only wore our 75th anniversary unis one time last year. so why do you think were going to switch everything up?

those would look horrible...the pants aren't nearly as dark as they used to be, they're almost bright burgundy and the jersey's are really dark...it would just be bad.

I've said it once and said it again.

The best uniforms this team ever had was during the Allen era.

Gold pants, burgundy jerseys at home....doesn't get better than that.

Now taking donations from the membership to pay off some mods and have both this and the Cult of Colt threads ban-hammered/deleted/removed so far from here they never even existed...and so on.

C'mon guys, pony up.
