I'll really miss you, Mark!

I was honored to have you as our QB in 2005. Too bad it didn't work out in 2006. I was really hoping you would have your third career conference championship game and maybe even your first ring, but it wasn't meant to be. You were a bona fide beast in Jacksonville, and in 2005, you showed you still had it. The NFL record you set in 2006 was awesome too, and I know it will not be topped for many years. You have earned my admiration, and are still my favorite QB.

Thanks for the memories of 2005 and beating your old Jacksonville team this year. Hope you taught Campbell well. If he performs half as well as you did in your prime, we are in for a treat.

Hail to the Redskins! Hail #8! :notworthy

No way am I changing my sig pic!

my thanks go out to Mark for ALWAYS being such a class act - on and off the field- he has had some great games for us and some he and i both would rather forget, but i refuse to slam him like some have done because of his mistakes(i'm just glad all my mistakes are not broadcast live before capacity crowds) i hate that his career is ending this way and wish only the best for him :point2sky

Great post!! 2005 was a great year for the Skins and MB was a part of sweeping the Pukes and Eagles and going to the Playoffs. The win over Dallas last week was sweet, too. It's time now for him to enter a new phase of his career. Good luck, Mark! Thanks for some good memories! HAIL!!

Where as I have wanted JC to play for a while now, I still respect Brunell for what he did last year. I respect him as a player and as a person. He has been pretty classy even though he could have easily laid the blame else where or just been a jerk.

Thanks Mark, good luck in the future.

Thanks mark for helping us get to the playoffs in 05. You are a class act. Help get Jason ready. I will say this. It was not all your fault, but you know how it goes, SOMEONE HAD TO TAKE THE FALL! unfortunatly its you. But thats how the nfl works. Remember what the NFL stands for Not For Long. Good luck in your future endevours.

Yeah, thanks for never taking the blame. Thanks for missing the deep receiver 90% of the time. Thanks for finding Ladell Betts in the flats when it's 3rd and 10. Thanks for leading this offense to an NFL record worst in a playoff game.

Yeah, we have a lot to be thankful for today.

Don't be a loser, did you even read the guys post????

You didn't get goosebumps when thinking about those two TD's against Dallas last year??? That alone made him being here a pleasure, you can't blame him for Gibbs not realizing that his days are donne.

GREAT ORIGINAL POST, THANKS FOR SOME MEMORIES MARK, JUST PLEASE NEVER GET A REDSKINS UNI DIRTY AGAIN!!!

Obviously I've been on the bench Brunell bandwagon since 2004. However, I always liked Mark personally and thought of him as a standup guy. I always tried my best to keep it above board by criticizing the performance and not the man, as I saw many do here.

I wish him well and would actually like to see him stay on as our #3 guy for another year if he's willing to take a good sized pay cut. After all, we won't have any draft picks to devote to developmental QBs to fill the #3 spot for a year or so, so this arrangement could benefit both him and the team.

Oddly enough, he did have one last hurrah. In yesterday's -fest against the Fecals, we saw what the Al Saunders offense could be when he dropped back and delivered the ball on time and with accuracy 43 yards downfield to B. Lloyd. Of course that begs the question, if he could do it that once, why not again or before that? In any event, we'll never know. And while his performance was subpar for most of his tenure here, I agree with Socrates that he deserves credit for bringing us something no QB of ours had in the prior 5 years-victory against Dallass. Therefore, rather than all the bad things, I'll choose to remember the Brunell of the long pass to Lloyd and the two bombs to Moss to beat the Cowturds. :dallasuck

Hail Mark, you're OK in my book.:helmet:

Now, let's move on to the future. Just remember, give Campbell a break will ya?! After all, he's going to make mistakes before he ever develops into a legit starter. Here's to the future!!

Thanks, Mark. We've seen the best of times, and we've seen the worst of times. No hard feelings.

Thank you Mark! I'll never forget your returning us to the playoffs, nor will I forget your victories over Dallas last year and this year, nor will I forget that you always remained a positive role model and a self-less, class act as a starter. I know Campbell will only get better through experience and through your tutelage. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Mark Brunell!

Some of you people are complete $%#$. Not only is this thread intended for the sincere, how could you not honor Mark Brunell driving a dagger into all those cowgirl fans in week 2 last year?

Thanks Mark. Some of us here appreciated the effort you gave here in spite of all the adversity. Thanks for taking us to the playoffs. Good luck!

I hope many of you on here saying Brunells career is over in DC remember that our offensive line sucks and every team we play is going to blitz like hell from here on out because we dont block blitzers. So the reality is Campbell is probably going to get knocked out of a game or hurt to were Brunell is going to have to come back in. 7 games is a long time.

Lets hope the Dirt bags start playing like last year. I bet Tampa Bays Defensive line are licking their chops right now. I would if I was going against an inexperienced QB.

Props to Mark for some good times and some bad times, but he always played with heart and put up with a LOT of unnecessary stuff from the fans and the media.

I hope he restructures and stays as Jasons backup and retires a Skin, I really do. Although I think he'll want a starting shot somewhere, and if he does, I wish him the best of luck.

NO ill will towards Brunell here...thanks for the memories man, I'll never forget the 2nd half of 2005!!!
