Mr. Gibbs, Your Rude Awakening is Calling

The owner is suppose to the BOSS. Not santa clause. He should rehaul the scounting department on his own.

That's the whole point, though. Snyder knew that he couldn't do it his way, or Spurriers way so he brought in the only guy who he KNEW could get things turned around and that man was Gibbs.

So now we're blaming Snyder for hiring Gibbs back?

IVinny according to you guys just makes the deal? I thought that was Eric Mendez?

Mendez hasn't been here for several years.

You don't know anything. It's just talk. :poke:

i'm with you man, i'm tired of all the mystery...

1. why isn't TJ geting more carries, why did we sign him in the first place???

2. why the **** is Brunell still on the field???, somebody shoot his ass in the FOOT or something...

3. and last but not least STOP giving away our future picks... look at the chargers, ravens, and pats... they don't spend half as much as we do in the offseason but they draft wisely... NO DRAFT=NO FUTURE

It's happening because it's easier to do then blame an icon.

I could never imagine the day that I would begin to lose faith in Joe Freakin' Gibbs. Never. Yet that day is here and it hurts me deeply. It would be much easier if my mind would allow me to ignore the obvious and point the finger of blame in another direction. But that would be intellectually dishonest and I know that JJG wouldn't respect that.

Snyder is the perfect scape goat. Rich, doesn't speak to the public much, owns the best (financial) NFL franchise. It's easy to hate him because he is living the American dream that 99% of this country wants. How many people on this board would turn down his gig?

Gibbs on the other hand gets to stand in front of the public eye every week and think of new excuses as to why the team isn't winning. Nobody would want that job especially now.

Snyder gets to wake up tomorrow and make tens of millions regardless if the Skins win or lose. Gibbs wakes up tomorrow and gets one step closer to a stroke or heart attack while he tries to repair a horrible football team that he messed up.

Yep, I'll take Snyder's job please.

Or he has 5 head coaches in 6 yrs. I think that is a trend? I am not sure.

"It's always easy to make excuses. But good coaches don't need them.

Eric Mangini, a rookie HC with 4-12 talent, is coaching circles around Gibbs. Implementing new systems? Starting rookies all over the field? A QB with a "weak" arm? Overcome adversity and get your team to overachieve. That's a head coach's job. It's what Mangini has done. Ditto Payton."

OUCH!

Truth hurts!

If you have nothing of substance to add to the thread then why are you here?

I've asked you several questions in this thread that you continue to avoid.

I'll try this once more. Are you blaming Snyder for hiring Gibbs?

He's only had one for the past 3 seasons, also. Is that a trend? I'm not sure.

Ok so who is to blame.

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Vinny / Snyder , " REDSKINS ONE" since 2000 as soon as free agency hits the Jet is loaded.

Or coach Gibbs. A coach who is failing like all the others behind him.

I am losing my mind? Maybe the problem is not coaching. Its the way they get players, the players they chose.

AFTER ALL. Players are the guys who make the plays.

And after all, Al Saunders and Greg Williams are suppose to be the best.

I am blaming Snyder for not getting a GM to go along with Gibbs.

I do not think coaching and being a president go together.

You are reading the posts, aren't you? Hmmmmmmmmmm?

I have clearly stated that the blame lies at the feet of Coach Gibbs in a number of responses.

Ok the blame goes to coach Gibbs. What are we going to do about it? Hire a GM so he can get back to coaching? So he can get back to play calling.

Or are we just going to tell him fix it ! Lets do what the Seahawks did, take the GM role away and tell their head coach, get on your toes.

Lets stop making Gibbs boss. And be a real franchise.

Wouldn't part of that blame go on Gibbs too though? He did afterall take the title of Team President and is still overseeing FA moves. You're entirely missing the point here- concerning the whole team, Snyder will let Gibbs do what he wants with it. If Gibbs wanted a GM, he'd get a GM, plain and simple. Gibbs clearly hasn't thought about getting a GM, and yet somehow you're putting that on Snyder.

Snyder trusted Gibbs to take care of that when Gibbs signed back on in 2004.

What part of that don't you understant?

If Gibbs went to Dan and admitted the Redskins needed a GM, we'd have one. It's no Snyder's fault that he trusted Gibbs. EVERY Skins fan in the world trusted Gibbs and thought he would save the franchise when he came back. Were you a Skins fan in 2004? lol

A GM is not what Snyder wants. If you heard Spurrier when he was here , he said " that is not what the owner wants here"

He fired Marty because he did not have enough control, Spurrier wanted a GM , and made little cryptic comments about how he admires other teams structures.

A GM is something Snyder does want. Being part of a teams daily operations is part of his fetish.

He would not feel good about giving complete control to a powerful GM. That means he would not be involved.

If Snyder does try and take the keys back and give them to someone else (new GM), don't be surprised when Gibbs pulls a Marty and resigns.

I don't agree with this. Gibbs handed the offense over the Al, I see no reason why he wouldn't stay on to work with a real GM. That's how the team was set up back in the 80's.

No point in debating I think you made my point. Snyder is like a fan. He just trust Gibbs to run the team. He is not a good owner.

A good owner would put his coach in best position to win. Not just trust him .

Ownership should mean leadship.

boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

YaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaYYY!

Too bad it took you this long to lose the Die Hard B.S. and see the writing was on the wall. We'll see Campbell and just like Gibb's first year with Boonell, it'll be too little too late! WE SUCK!!!

were you saying this when he was hands on?

i highly doubt it.

a good leader knows what he's good at and what he isn't. football decisions are not what snyder is good at. marketing is, and he's highly successful at his job.
