jayl1985
On 3rd and 7 call an 8 yard hook or out or something to get the dam first down. I hate mark brunell and I hate saunders playcalling. It is absolutely horrible. I don't know what else to say about it. And the defense can't do anything right. They suck at everything. I'm a die-hard fan but I really don't want to support them if they are going to continue to do the same exact thing week after week. Its the same story every single week. macdaddychurch
Joe, you have shamed yourself on national tv! Failing to get your team up for yet another critical game.....not having a gameplan.....and worst of all, not pulling your horrible, ineffective quarterback to give your #1 draft pick a chance........even when you are down 27-3 with no possible chance of a comeback....your QB who "give you the best chance to win" just lost another one for us.....you are losing your reputation. Please save face and put in the backup! :toilet:

JaimeDeCurry
That would make sense if Brunell hadn't thrown a 43 yarder to Lloyd right on the money. Brunell, when he goes down field, seems to do a pretty good job.Brunell doesn't tell the receiver, "Hey, it's 3rd and 9, the actual playcall is for you to run a 10 yd. slant, but I want you to run a 2 yd slant because I can't throw the ball 10 yards." If the receiver does a 2 yd slant, it's because that was the play call. This is exactly it. This playcalling is absolutely ******* ridiculous. When you're down by 14 points, it's not called controlling the ball anymore, it's called wasting time. As mediocre as Brunell is, he's not the one killing this team. That lies solely on the shoulders of Al Saunders. I'm so torn right now because half of me wants Gibbs to take the playcalling back and start winning games, and half of me wants to see Al Saunders' famed offense destroy people next year. If things don't start clicking right away next season, Saunders needs to be done.
Mr_ Skinshead
At least Gibbs went for it on 4th and 4 on the last drive. That was a good decision. Too bad we couldn't do anything with it. Yeah, and then turned around and attempted an unmakeable 48-yd FGA on the next possession. The man has lost his edge, lost his team and lost the season. skinsrevival
You may get heat for this thread, but the facts speak for itself. Gibbs won three superbowls, but this is 2006. All that other stuff goes out the window. I love Gibbs to death, but he's made more questionable decisions this year than any other year that I can remember. From personnel decisions to allowing certain plays to be called by Saunders and last, but not least, leaving Brunell in to stink up the joint. So while I love Gibbs to death... I believe his time has passed him by in the modern day NFL.
skinsrevival
As mediocre as Brunell is, he's not the one killing this team. Really. So I guess we should let him play the rest of the season and since he is signed through next year let's let him start 2007 too... He's a HUGE part of the problem... I hope you're not one of these people caught up in his passer rating stats...
JaimeDeCurry
Really. So I guess we should let him play the rest of the season and since he is signed through next year let's let him start 2007 too... He's a HUGE part of the problem... I hope you're not one of these people caught up in his passer rating stats... I didn't say he should still start. Where did I say that? Don't make assumptions when you don't know what you're talking about. I want to see Campbell in. With every fiber of my being I want to see Campbell in. But Brunell single-handedly destroying this team is a ridiculous statement. The ONE ******* DEEP CALL ALL GAME he nailed. Saunders needs to either completely overhaul his scheme or get out. 2 yard screen on 3rd and 9 in man-to-man coverage? Jesus ******* Christ. Running the ball again and again and again after we're down by multiple touchdowns? I hate this man. I cannot begin to describe the passion with which I hate the playcalling right now. alwaysaskin
Wake up.Joe Gibbs is incredibily MEDIOCRE. In fact, he's below average. Do you miss Spurrier or Norv? Gibbs gave this joke of a franchise respect without him we're the Cardinals or Bengals!

AzSkinsFan63
Gibbs has lost the team when he has not benched Brunell. They are running a offense suited to his talents. exactly!!!!!! Chicken Play calling to the abilties of a piss poor QB and they know it becaus they call plays because of Brunell's inabilites.... sickening.. andy hudson
On sky Sport today Nick Halling opinion of the Redskins was, Randle El and Lloyd didn't fit with the Al Saunders/Gibbs offence, and that was the reason we wasn't getting it done. I thinks it's more than that, have always been a fan of MB but it's time for a change, he's not got to grips with this new offence at all. Ten sec's in the last half and he takes a knee, insted of goin for it. That's the season so far min one play!
Fergasun
That's only because Brunell doesn't fit... ARE has been awesome, especially with the gadget plays...

bulldog
ANY wide receiver doesn't look like a good fit when the ball is thrown at your feet  when the Redskins do throw a deep ball most of the time the receivers look like center fielders trying to go up and bat the ball away from defenders
Burgold
ARE has been great. He fights harder than anyone on this team. He's the guy that breaks tackles and sells out to try to make plays. I am really glad he is here. Lloyd needs to get some balls thrown his way. He's made his blocks and hasn't been bad when thrown at, but he just isn't given a chance to shine. TheUSkins
please lets not start with ARE and LLOYD being the problem!! They were the only smart pick-ups this offseason!!! I really like both guys!
No_Pressure
Randle-El has been a good reciever, good team player, generated a lot of excitement, and is our most talented special teamer in a while. Lloyd, when thrown to, has made up for a lot of Brunell's mistakes with great catches. Even he cant catch every crappy pass however. There is nothing wrong with these guys, when they get open, Brunell is panicking from a blitz and checking down to Betts for a 3-4 yard gain. Perhaps it's because you haven't seen them live? I have, Brunell isn't a NFL quality QB. He's missing deep routes on nearly every pass play. Ignatius J.
The problem is with the blocking. Right now, our lineman and fullbacks and tight ends doon't really know what they are doing. It's year one in an ooffense against a defense that has been playing wel in thier scheme for years. This stuff takees time to do right.
Execution56
Boooonell is the problem... and whoever is the stupid person calling 5 yd slants (and dump off passes) on 3rd and 9, when trailing by 17 points.
