When I began posting on Around the NFL I had the same attitude many rookies have, this is a Redskin board so posters who like other teams are sh**.

I have learned that I was incorrect. This is a fun disfunctional "family" here, of which you are certainly apart. I'm taking the above post as a misread which we all do occassionally!

But this unbold statement below is terrible. At 10:56pm, DC time:pooh: you're willing to jump on a bet where you're literally are getting 13 1/2 points after posting this above post! I too smell something, not fear but poop.:doh:

Ok, you're on. You threw it out there, I"m taking you up on your offer.

I got philly and 6.5

Notice the time. 10:56pm, DC time, saturday bet.

This is what he said. Where I come from, thats a challenge. I've no bone to pick in this argument, skins or eagles. But when he throws out a qoute like this.....

I'm giving 6.5...and no takers.

You're out of your mind. You obviously have a brokeback thing going with tr1. I'm just going to refer to you two as the brokeback brothers. You're more concerned with cowboys than redskins anyway.

As far as your brokeback brother goes, the bet is on. He chimed up, he threw it out there, I took him up on it.

So what does he do? He doesn't acknowledge it, and he's logged off. Who wants to bet that he logs back in after the game and says there was never a bet? Yeah, thats what I thought.

Based solely on what I've read through this thread, I would say neither Bubba nor tr1 has been wearing a dress. They have made statements and stood behind them! They however appear to be the only ones!

I'm as certain as you his bet request was to pull in loud Eagle followers.

I understand your jumping on it. Seven point underdog giving 6 1/2, that's a 13 1/2 better spread than you'd get any where. If you or WB really want to man up, it should at least be a staight up bet!

but you are so confident in the Eagles, you have to have straight up odds, despite the fact the Eagles are a 7 point favorite, playing at home, after the bye week (in which they are 7-0) having the #1 offense against the #30 defense..... AFTER crowing about how the eagles would win by AT LEAST ten, the Redskins have no chance, etc.... etc..

You called out tr1 on his boast (and got it completely wrong) and then joined the bets because tr1 GAVE points... so what does that make you?? especially since you weren't even involved to begin with... just jumped in to insult tr1 and me

I made the offer for the bet in post #51...I'm GIVING 6.5 points....that's 13.5 points ala the bookmakers...any fool would jump on that one...and finally, you did. :doh: p

In the meantime, you have accused me of several things that aren't true. Take a look at DWinzit's post #79. He understood I made the bet...but you thought I wanted 6.5 points...and you went on a tirade about me. And finally figuring it out in post #95... :doh: And I accepted in post #97.

But no, that's not enough...after I've gone to bed, you pile on some more:

Sorry, but I think bets for things like signatures on messageboards amongst rival fans of teams shouldn't involve points. Either you back your team or you don't.

I don't want the 6.5 points. Basically, I already know what you are doing. Even if the Eagles win straight up, in the future, you will talk about how you had to give me 6.5 points even though the Eagles were favored by 7.

Don't you see that I clearly see right through every ploy you come up with?

My final offer: The bet is straight up, no points, or there is no bet.
