ArmchairRedskin
Portis is on a nice pace this year. 7 TD's in 7 games. He's never had this many TD's this early in the season.

Hokie_Skinz
LT, and CP are two of the most outstanding running backs in the league right now. I think part of the reason why CP doesn't get as much talk in the press right now, is because he's so young. In 3 more years, he will be without a doubt the premiere RB in the NFL. It has nothing to do with age.
skins_warrior26
ya also the fact that he doesnt get the ball enough migh have to do with why he isnt talked about as much, 2 times 20+ carries, im pretty sure LT has had 20 carries every game this yr. Brandon Lloyd Christmas
yeah, the redskins are struggling and portis' injury doesnt help. but hes top 5 when healthy. LT is still the best, hes a scoring machine, and LJ is right behind him.

Mr. S
LT, and CP are two of the most outstanding running backs in the league right now. I think part of the reason why CP doesn't get as much talk in the press right now, is because he's so young. In 3 more years, he will be without a doubt the premiere RB in the NFL. if he had stayed in Denver one more season, he would have gotten more press. It's just that his numbers dropped in 2004 while with us, and then rebounded a bit last year. So far, despite yardage problems, he has gotten more td's already than last season, and we got another half the season to go, that too he was held out of some games due to injury in the first half. I think at his rate, he can very well break his own 15 or 16 td season record. It would be nice if he could break Terry Allen's 24 or whatever it was, but maybe next year. It's also funny that Rogers is older than Portis I believe, and Campbell.
illone
Not so fast. You can't put LJ ahead of Portis just yet. One decent season doesn't mean jack in the NFL. Let's see if LJ can do it consistently for 4 years like CPo has. Until then, it's all speculation that LJ is better than Portis.
