Baloney, I want to marry my dog. I don't care what you guys think about me. When are people going to stop using the biblical definition of marriage to define my inability to marry my dog?

Damn Straight! Two consenting adults pledging their devotion to each other is the exact same as having sex with your German Shephard. That's what I've been trying to tell people! You're the man!

I don't understand why people are so focused on forcing their belief system on other either...
They're not. They're concerned with others (gay marriage advocates) pushing they're belief system on them. :)

See, the whole thing is this, people like me, view Homosexuality as deviant. If that's prejudiced or un-PC, well I'm sorry you feel that way. Its not a right. Its not civil rights.

If it was a non-issue, then how did it get on the ballot? How did it get voted into law by a majority?

Just some things to think about.

GOD SAID SO and God is never wrong and neither is the bible.

Which is why religion needs be abolished from politics. The bible itself is a large contradiction and is not the original bible if you want to get technical.

The government is supposed to protect our people and I hate to break it to you those people may have different skin color or sexual preference, the bottom line is they are all citizens and should all have the same rights.

Since there is no law saying a marriage has be related with religion then there should be nothing blocking gays to get married, nothing.

Don't bother responding people. If there is one thing we have learned about portis, when he latches onto a point that he thinks is compelling, he will simply keep repeating it until the thread reaches 30 pages. It doesn't matter what anyone else says.

Do you hang around in gay people's bedrooms?

If not, how is their belief system going to get forced on you?

If all of a sudden, gay marriages were legal, does that mean gay people are now going to be having sex in public or trying to "covert" straight people?

Well I personally believe in God, and I do not approve of the homosexual lifestyle. I also don't approve of gay marriage. But I am not in favor of any constitutional ammendments / laws banning gay marriage. If they want to marry each other, fine. They're not hurting anyone, and they'll have to answer to a higher authority someday.

So while I'm sure you think you're clever for bringing religion into this under the vail of sarcasm and painting those who dissaprove of the homosexual lifestyle as 'ignorant', when you do so, you demonstrate your own ignorance.

:2cents:

One day your stance will be as archaic as the vast majority of Americans who discriminated against black people for hundreds of years. You have the majority for now, but you're still wrong.

I believe in equal rights. Your side doesn't. Simple as that.

How do you mean?

They don't want hetero's to marry other gays, that just want that right for themselves, how is anything being forced upon you personally?

Seriously, this is not about equal rights.

This is about thumbing their nose at the foundation of marriage (biblical). People who are religious know marriage is for binding man and woman for the purpose of procreation.

If anyone does not believe in GOD or living a life according to GOD, then why are they so hell bent on gaining the religious priviledge.

Shouldn't they refuse to care and accept the concept of marriage?

I'm talking about the homosexual activism. A tiny fraction (irrelevant) of the population screaming from rooftops about their rights to dress up like a perverted half-wit and march thru the streets of San Francisco waving dildos in the air and screaming about their right to do so. Just do a google image search on gay parade.

And the media's coverage of all this... and Hollywood's embracing of the gay lifestyle in popular TV shows, movies, etc... while most Americans have probably only known 1 or 2 gay people in their entire lives. From media outlets, you'd think 1/3 Americans are gay.

I think both sides are equally guilty of forcing their agenda on the majority of Americans who just don't give a ****. :2cents:

See, you can't even read. Case closed... your ignorance and partisanship is on display for all to see.

I am not in favor of banning gay marriage. I think it should be perfectly legal. :slap: I've said it numerous times in this thread.

Is that the viewpoint you feel will soon be archaic?

There are churches willing to perform gay marriages... so are they not churchy enough?

You wanna be my best man. We will need to go to California or Massachussets. They are the only two states so craz.....illuminated to allow me the right to force GOD to accept my love of dog.

 You can't marry a dog because it cannot consent to marriage. Note the term two CONSENTING adults.

Marriage is strictly biblical, eh? So does that mean I'm not really married - there was no bible at my wedding. How about Muslims? How do they go about getting married?

Gotcha...

You have to admit though, there wouldn't be "gay parades" if they were treated equally in terms of society... and that will be the case eventually.

I wouldn't want to witness a gay parade either, but I just don't care if they get married. If someone in my family were gay and it woudl make them happy to be married, then so be it, good for them. It would take nothing away from my marriage to my wife.

Now YOU are the one being naive.

These wedge issue ballot initiatives are put on the ballot by political operatives for one reason: to get people all angry and to come out and vote (because if they do they will also vote for the Republican (or Democratic) candidate). The Political Parties drive the initiative battles for electoral purposes to manipulate the voters like sheep - not because they care that much about the specific issue.

So, you're saying that without any feedback at all from their constituants, political operatives just put stuf on the ballot?

So why don't the Dems put on ballots

"Do you agree two men should be able to marry"?

Answer: Except in San Fransicko and Mass it'd be shot full of holes

YOU think it's a non-issue. But a lot of people in this country and in those states are sick of seeing the pervs smear the word marriage

Too late! The indulgent straights have already tarnished the sanctity of marriage. Have you seen divorce rates? How about all the adultery amongst the state recognized marriages?

Pervs smearing the word marriage. Hilarious!

No, your looking down upon gay people will be seen as archaic. If anything, God created gay people and he would have to be a real @#$%wad to send them to hell all because he created them that way.
