fightforallDC
Its interesting from reading his Journal he seem's like a pretty cool guy. I actually am really happy he is writing this journal to be honest when I first saw him signed by us I was a little worried. He seemed to be a little full of himself, but I am happy it seems like I was wrong. His journal reads very honest and straight forward. He definately seems like a team player! We know he has skill! It's the other intangibles I was worried about. Not anymore!
Canadian Hog
The bottom line is that it's easy to say all the right things when you are writing a piece that will be posted on your employer's official site for public viewing. With that being said, this is not to suggest that Brandon Lloyd is a bad seed. However, gameday attitude will be the true indicator of what we are to make of his character. It's the other intangibles I was worried about. Not anymore! I saw an interview with him the other day on TV and I came away very impressed. I forget the word he used but it was one you rarely hear football players use and just as impressive was that it sounded natural coming out of his mouth. With the bad reputation he had coming from San Fran I wasn't expecting him to be that articulate. He seems bright as hell.
COOLhandsCOOLEY
I was really surprised with how eloquent he is. I am sure that there are some content editors helping him, but he really has a knack for the written word. I think he's gonna prove to be one of the biggest aquisitions in free agency in the league this year.
Dirk McGirk
I think Lloyd is a good guy, gonna be a great reciever for us, but i dont think he is writing his journal. It comes off rather cheesy, and I wouldnt be suprised if he had some input, but a PR person is actually fallowing Lloyd around and writing the piece themselves. XxSpearheadxX
I bet 3/4s of the posters on this board couldn't write as eloquently or conjure up images as readily in the readers mind as B-Lloyd does in those throwaway journal entries. He never has done anything on gamedays but play his ass off, I don't know what people are worried about. edit: B-Lloyd is a good writer and he is definately writing that journal. Just listen to the man talk he is very good with words. Not to mention he is a pretty good rapper, not just a token joke of one.
spanishomelette
It seems to me the journal reflects his good spirits as displayed in TV interviews specifically the Comcast one on yesterday. It's actually a pretty fun read.
jnhay
I looked it up, and found he was a Speech Communications major in college, so it's not surprising that he comes across so "eloquently".
The Animal Trainer
I just read all 5 entries. He seems like a pretty down to earth guy, practices hard, plays hard, I like him. Good addition.

His journal is very interesting and today's entry was a very good insight into the individual and his character. (If you haven't read today's entry he expounded upon a question from ES' own JimmiJo in yesterday's interview. Great job JimmiJo.) Great job Brandon. Keep up the good work and keep those journal entries coming. HTTR

If he wasn't writing that you would be able to tell from the way he speaks. I had no clue he was that bright, articulate and thoughtful. I was ecstatic to hear we traded for him and he's grown on me exponentially and he hasn't even played a game yet. I'm expecting great things from him. Mrmangos02
he is actually a very modest guy. My sister ran into him and didnt know who he was at a club) but kept wondering why his entourage was so big and people kept comming up sand saying whats up. however, he woundlt tell her he was a football player. kept saying he was something else then finally showed her his license and she knew who he was. gave me an autograph. BKSkinsFan
Definitely not what I expected him to be when we first got him. When you heard he was a WR complaining about his team, had a rap CD, sounded like the cliche WR you see today. He is far from that IMO, and I enjoy his journal entries. Hearing him talk about waking up at 1 a.m. with a bottle and changing diapers is something I can relate to. He has his priorities straight, and I will be rooting for him to have a breakout season. canethang 305
I got to meet him and talk to him and his wife for a few minutes, from my impression he's a pretty quite low key guy. The stuff he said about his kid was right on cause he was a very proud dad. He is confident cause I asked him about his music and said he better not be as bad as TO and he said with a smirk I'm better than your favorite rapper and we all laughed. If you want to check out his music go to bloyd.com or his myspace is TheBLoyd.
jamestrash
my attitude would suck if I had to play for SF too!! Def. a great PR move on the Skins part to get one of the new players out there, and he is coming off cool. I'd love to see more of this. As far as the cynicism goes about whther or not he's doing his own work on the journal, he had to have agreed to do this. I mean think about Sean Taylor in a similar situation and ask yourself two questions: would he even do it in the first place? would it be good for him to do it? Anyway, once again the Skins show the world how to run a 21st century football organization.

hail2thegibb
I've been witing for someone to start a thread about this. I read it also and think he sounds pretty cool. Down to earth. Now as long as he stay's above the earth, keeps the ball above the earth and not flat on his back with the ball rolling across the ground. He'l be alright in my book!! XxSpearheadxX
Agreed. Gameday attitude has never been his problem in the past, just things like veterans being upset with him singing in the lockerroom. Funny that a little song can turn you into the next TO, since that was the incident that brought about these sentiments in NFL fans. :twitch: I was with you until that last sentence. Not too impressed w/ what I've heard so far but doesn't matter. As long as he doesn't rap after he tears the team apart and starts to blast MB, JG and the organization:laugh: Don't get me wrong, I didn't go out and buy his albulm - or even listen to it for that matter. I'm just saying that it could come on the radio and you wouldn't think it was much worse than 95% of the other crap rap they play on commercial stations. Some of it was actually catchy. In comparison with the music made by Terrell El Dorado Owens, he is god damn Mos Def in my book. http://www.blloyd.com/home.php

illone
I like his most recent entry. He takes a subtle jab at TO, and the guy really sounds like he has a strong family. I'm liking what I'm reading from the new player thus far.
