Couple of things I found interesting.

Why threaten this now after Beruit has been getting schwacked for a couple of weeks now

Notice how the terrorist refers to Beruit as "our capitol"?

Nasrallah: We'll bomb Tel Aviv if Beirut attacked

In TV address, Hizbullah leader says terror group will respond to next Israeli strike in Beirut with rockets on Tel Aviv; Israel responds: Lebanese infrastructure will be destroyed if Tel Aviv is hit

Roee Nahmias

Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah threatened to bomb Tel Aviv during a TV address Thursday night, should Israel attack in Beirut. "If you indeed do this, I say this clearly. I won't use terms I used up to now, past Haifa, but I will say clearly and in a way that is not open to interpretation: If you bomb our capital we'll bomb your capital. We'll bomb Tel Aviv and we can do this."

A senior Israeli defense source told Israel's Channel 1 that Israel will destroy Lebanon's infrastructure if Hizbullah fires rockets at Tel Aviv.

During the speech, which was aired on al-Manar TV, Nasrallah discussed the 'importance' of ground battles by Hizbullah members against IDF units: "We are fighting against very heavy pressure and are fighting battles of heroism across the whole front." He added that his organization had many anti-tank weapons.

Nasrallah branded Prime Minister Ehud Olmert a "fool" for "declaring a victory too early." "He wants to look like (Ariel) Sharon, (Yitzhak) Rabin, and (Menachem) Begin. Ask him where the accomplishments are that he promised you," Nasrallah said. He added that he was following Israeli analysts.

Nasrallah mocked the commando raid in Baalbek: "There were two landings near Baalbek and not in the heart of Baalbek. They stormed a hospital and threw a grenade. Pay attention to the great gain, to search for injured fighters who they didn’t capture during the battle. They weren't there, they kidnapped five civilians and they are hostages. This is intelligence, this is the Mossad?"

Nasrallah added, "We all remember the heroic battles. There are tens of thousands of Israeli soldiers in the field and many tanks with

them. They are facing soldiers standing with bravery and stopping the advance. The battle is still going on in front positions and it surprised the Zionists. The Israelis come to enter a village, so that Hizbullah fighters will run away, but up to now – the fighters remained to battle in the villages until the last bullet. Israel was surprised by the human factor. They are fighting against men willing to sacrifice."

This was Nasrallah's eighth television appearance since the kidnapping of soldiers on the northern border.

Isreal ought to level Beruit with that threat, get it over with.

They probably will.

I was randomly listening to a radio program today about war crimes and

hitting civilian targets intentionaly or unintentionaly. Of course it always strikes me as funny how the west (and it's allies) are expected to play by the rules while the others do as they please. the ironic part of it is that those breaking the rules (hitting civilian targets, using human sheilds) are the ones doing the complaining.

One thing that concerns me is that I'm not convinced the terrorist want Israel to stop. If hezbollah is indeed a Iran and Syria controlled group then wouldn't it be in their interest to have this war escalate to include many more civilian deaths? After all that type of response will raise support in the arab nation for hezbollah. Also the Lebanese government isn't as extremist and likely isn't favored by Iran and Syria to begin with.

I can't imagine how it is you came up with that. If captured those terrorists that you think are allowed to do as they please will face war crimes or terrorist charges. How is that allowing them to do what they please - I certainly don't see any Israeli soldiers being detained and put on trial? It seems that you are confusing opinions with reality. The reality is pretty clear, the terrorists are not allowed to do what they are doing and face death or trial if found.

What, they've been holding back all this time?

They are starting to sound like that nut from iraq that was claiming to have destroyed 50... no no 500 tanks today! lol They are criminals with somewhat expensive guns, little more. When they face a real military they stand no chance at all and everyone knows it.

That's a good point. Let's hope it doesn't turn out that way.

I agree. I'm not so sure Hezbollah has the power to reach tel aviv. I would've thought they would have done it by now if they could.

That's pretty much my thought as well. If they do have missiles, they probably came from a kid's meal in downtown Beirut.

I think they mentioned something about this in Jerusalem Post (www.jpost.com)... Short range missles are supposedly from Syria, while missles that can reach Tel Aviv are from Iran. Alledgedly Iran has not given Hizbollah a green light to launch those yet.

Then I will agree with you. The media are filled with *******s content with complaining about what every advanced nation is doing while completely ignoring the other kind.

Why? Just to prove Hezbollah right?

The leboneeze that live in Beirut support Hezbollah and thier actions, hiding them and acting as shields for them. So colectively they're at war with

Isreal and targeting civilians, threatening to target more civilians with random rockets at bigger cities.

If you can't separate them, let God sort them out

Oh, these Lebanese you mean. The ones who marched to get the Syrians the heck out of their country. Collectively they should all die.

Oh well, they had a year to weed out Hesbollah and didn't do it. Kill em all.
