Obsession: What The War on Terror Is Really About

Yeah, unfortunately this administration turned words "War on Terror" into something that means anything but the actual War on Terror. This administration is very good at capitalizing on words "War on Terror" - but is incredibly inept at actually fighting terrorism.

That video + knowing how incompetent this administration is = very scary.

Unfortunately this thread wasn't about the Bush Admin. Radical Jihad existed before the President's tenure.

In your opinion...

Yes, in my opinion we have paid for incompetence of this administration with thousands of American lives, billions of dollars, and trashed international image.

They have criminally mislead America into an unnecessary war while ignoring American borders and the rest of the world. They did nothing about terorrist groups around the world. Iran and Syria supplied Hizbollah with thousands of missles while ignoring UN resolutions on their watch! Iran is developing nukes... We did nothing to get and keep China and Russia onboard the War on Terror... We told the world "screw you all, we're going into Iraq" - and now we're having problems getting their support in the War on Terror... gee, who would have expected that? I mean, they were all behind our cause in 2001, what happened there???

Perhaps something good will come out of Iraq - but do not tell me this was the best way to spend our political and economic capital, as well as lives of thousands of our soldiers. And do not tell me focusing on Iraq is a good way to fight the War on Terror that was supposed to be GLOBAL.

So yes, in my opinion they showed incompetence at leading the world, incompetence at leading our troops, incompetence at following laws, incompetence at governing, incompetence of leadership - you name it. The only competence they showed was at splitting the nation, alienating the world, and using the War on Terror to get re-elected.

Criminally? Really? Obviously there must be some real eveidence for you to say this.

So, if we had invaded Iran you would be ok with it? Or Syria? The same argument you made about ignoring UN Resolutions applies to Iraq, only Iraq was in violation of more! Last I checked we had forces in Afghanistan fighting still. And that was just turned over to NATO to control. Sounds like the rest of the world is still with us in the GWOT, just warry of Iraq.

Your last paragraph drips of Dem talking points and hate. This nation has been polutically divided for longer than this admin has been in power. Has this admin screwed up? Yes, a bunch of times. I am not a fan of Bush personally, but feel he has done a better job than Kerry would have. You obviously disagree....
