swaroopm
mosley was whippin ass the whole fight. vargas had nothing for him...AGAIN! I didn't see it, but from reading recaps I get the impression that Mosley dominated the fight. Anyone care to fill us in with a little more detail? LApunkrocker72
I thought Mosley-Vargas II was going to be a good fight. Boy was I wrong. Mosley dominated from start to finish and of course secured the win with a 6th round KO. As for Vargas, he looked totally off his game. It's time for him to retire. ksun247
Vargas is done. The announcers (Lampley/Stewart) keep mentioning the fact that he's been in a lot of wars at an early age and it's caught up with him. That may be true. But he hasn't beat anyone of quality since his decision victories over Ike Quartey & Winky Wright. Both of those coulda/shoulda went the other way. As for tonite, Shane just used his speed to score at will. Vargas didn't look good at all. Fight got ugly (too much grabbing/rough tactics). Ref didn't do a good job of stopping the roughness. Shane complained of some low-blows and Vargas was warned. Shane was winning all the rounds prior to the stoppage. Shane caught him with a DEVASTATING left hook. Vargas dropped like a sack of potatoes. When he tried to get up, he stumbled to one knee. He barely made the count. Ref could have stopped the fight right there. Vargas was basically out of it, but his instinct kept him going. Was only a matter of time, before the ref stopped it. Shane went for the kill and it was stopped. Good stoppage, because Vargas could have been seriously hurt. His career is over. :redpunch: This victory was so decisive. Nothing but a :whippin:

Vargas was getting a lot of hype a few years ago but in the end I guess things have not really worked out for him. I agree that we shouldn't see a lot more from him...hopefully the promoters don't keep trotting him out as a punching bag for other fighters who are looking for a step up.
