Matt [Redskins Fan]
I'd rather have Smoot, attitude problems and all. I remember when he was lined up at #2 and teams would try to pick on him. He'd make a play, break something up, make them think twice about going his way. Rogers just looked lost tonight. Hopefully it's not a talent issue, as opposed to just having a bad game. Sure, we really need Springs in there, but he has to do SOMEthing. redz
Carlos Rogers is not exceptional right now!!! Its only his 2nd year. Even Champ Baily made some mistakes in his 2nd year. Give him a break. As I saw it...a couple of those balls thrown his way..ST should have been helping. Im not blaming 1 or the other but mistakes happen and as Gibbs puts it, a game isnt won or lost on a single play.
PresidentClinton07
He doesnt suck. He had a bad game, so what. Take him out of the game and see how well his back up does. Carlos can tackle even though it didnt look like it tonight. He got tested a lot tonight, but he played some of them well. Like when Taylor got called for the hit, Carlos played that ball excellent. Give the guy some time will ya? And he can dance if he wants to, football is about having fun. You want him to walk with his down the entire time after getting beat? That comment about the fake injury was just stupid. Rogers is a competitor, not a little punk boy. Give the guy a chance to show what he got. Its only one game. RonBurgundy&Gold
He's got time to get better. Anyone expecting him to be a world beater at this point in his career is delusional. With that said, he didn't do much tonight outside of that bonecrushing special teams hit...and what was up w/ the theatrics after the incomplete pass to Williamson that he really got burnt on and just got lucky that Troy didn't make the catch? SolidSnake84
I was greatly impressed by Carlos last season and I like most had high hopes for him and I don't wanna tear him up since its only one game, but WOW...That was a horrible performance on his part, but its a team loss, so hopefully we can play better next game and hopefully Springs will be back soon... This game was a complete break down on many levels, and Carlos Rogers was just one of many players who didn't step up tonight. Not only that but it is only his second year and he's having to cover the #1 WR as a #2 CB, Springs being out cost us a lot, but the secondary wasn't helping much either. Not to mention the fact that it didn't seem as if our D-line could bring much pressure at all. Let's just hope that Bledsoe doesn't have as easy a time in the pocket next week. Do you think that Dallas' O-line is going to be as good as Minny's?? You have to give it to them, they were pretty good!!
ChampSkinsFanatic
He is a good hard hitter, but his cover skills seem suspect at times. corners dont have to be hitters hate to mention it but see Deion in his prime
UnKle RUku$
Exactly!!! He got torched by Williamson on the redskins sidelines and the ball rolled down his chest. If he holds on its a 40 yard gain!

LoudMouth12thMan
No corner in this league can defend a perfectly placed ball. Brunell threw two balls last year to Moss in stride against Newman when he was step for step with Moss. When a QB throws the ball on the money, if you don't have over the top help you're toast. Darryl Green couldn't have stopped those balls, even the ones Williamson dropped that should have been grabbed. Although, I'm not making excuses for him because he played pretty crappy. He had big job to do last night and didn't get it done. He'll bounce bakc. HTTR!

Skins4481
I think he seems a bit too ****y. Dont celebrate when the receiver DROPS a pass that would've been six points and act like you've done something. Just walk back to the huddle and make sure it wont happen again. bulldog
Rogers is 23 years old and played well at the end of last season. He is a #2 corner right now. When Springs is on the other side, Rogers draws confidence from his presence and from the fact he covers the other team's top draw. Without Springs, Rogers is just too junior starting his first full year in the NFL to be a true leader in the secondary. Wright is a journeyman at 29 and Rumph is a former #3 corner off a team that was 4-12 last year. You look at the secondary situation the Patriots found themselves in in 2004 and it is apparent that veteran depth at corner is not something that most teams have. A number of clubs don't really have a true #1 corner like the Redskins do in Springs. Rogers will have his ups and downs as he learns to play in the NFL. But in the short-term the best help he can receive is a good, solid pass rush from the down linemen including Andre Carter and from Marcus Washington. GhostRider
Love him, I re-watched the tape and I just think those were very well thrown balls by Johnson.
Diver
I still love him. Granted he still has a lot to learn and a long way to go, but he plays hard, he's physical, and he can tackle. He struggles against other teams number ones.
SkinsNorth
Rogers is still young and his inexperience along with his aggressiveness leads to problems, especially biting on play action. This is correctable. Hopefully he learns from his mistakes and his play will improve. He is a good young player.

TheDoyler23
If you give a QB all day to throw with nobody in his face in a single coverage situation, yea, you're gonna get beat a few times. Simple as that.
McMetal
Used to love him, now he just seems to have been exposed as another ****y punk who couldn't cover my grandmother. He blows...never will be a true #1 corner. I expect him to get completely annihilated this week by either Glenn or Owens.
Jesus, Mary & Joe Gibbs
Carlos Rogers stinks... We passed on Shawn Merriman for this guy... He was absolutely TORCHED twice where Williamson just dropped the ball... He was going to be a GOAT if he made those plays on top of the plays he already got beaten on all game long...
