littlenana57 Posted July 11, 2006 Author Share Posted July 11, 2006 maybe its just because i'm not there yet, but how does any Skins fan let their kid become another team's fan???? don't you raise them in redskins clothing and make them watch games.....me, my brother, my father, my grandfather are all redskins fans, it is how we were brought up......i just don't see how you let that happen I have tried to raise my children to have there own identities so, alas...they picked their own teams. It's really not that bad...during football season all the neighbors hear the CALM DISCUSSIONS during the times our teams meet on the field. This year we already have 30 ridin' on the 2 games we play them. And Jimmy comes to my house to watch cause I got the big screen....it sure gave me great pleasure to share the tube when we beat em last year, twice.:applause: Any how, when u do get there...Good Luck in tring to get them to like anything u like, music, cars, NFL teams and the friends of theirs u like. anyway if not for my cowgirl fan, i wouldn't be livin' my dream:notworthy :point2sky :point2sky Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

No matter what negative is said IT WILL BE THE MOST AWESOME SITE (here come the goosebumps) to see OUR REDSKINS enter onto the field...and we got seats on the visitors side. WELL, My son...the Cowboy fan, on the other hand is a different story. My wildest dream was to go and watch the Redskins play ANYWHERE, and he has made it come true. It means a GREAT deal to me and I know alot of you have been to a game, probabaly alot, but this is my first....Do YOU remember your first....of anything...uh-huh.. I know you do, remember the anticipation, the excitement, the way your heart felt...like it was gonna jump right out of your chest?????!!!!! THAT'S ME. OMG, I can't hardly wait until the 18th of August....well I know this isn't real interesting to most,but, maybe someone can let me know what to expect. I know it's pre season, but damn it a GAME is a GAME and this is the REDSKINS in true living, breathing color..OMG. ok I'm done...Thnx for takin the time to let this simple woman ramble about the best day in her life..8/13/2006.GOD BLESS THE REDSKINS and MY cowboy LOVIN' SON JIMMY.:notworthy I remember my first away game like the other day.......hmmmm what did I do the other day. Anyway, my first away game was in 1994 in Indianapolis. This was Gus Frerotte's first start for the Washington Redskins. We had a group rent a commercial bus and take the 9 hour bus trip with cooler's filled with beer on both ends of the bus -- Now this was a tailgate. We made a weekend of it and we one. The 50 of us made it onto the news in Washington as well as what was the jumbotron they had in indy in 1994. It was a great game to culminate a great trip. And preseason or not, you're going to love every second. Trust me.
