Sebowski - Not to pepper this thread with Tito drama, but I agree with you. A mentally unstable porn star hooked on the latest Hollywood fad drug??? Nooooooo. His version of the event sounds much more convincing to me...

Charges don't seem to be mutually exclusive. She got high, he got mad, and a Jerry Springer episode broke out.

Welcome to Team Punishment. lol

First of all, this is a funny post. :)

Second, I can't believe I missed all this until tonight.

For what it's worth, Tito is denying it and saying Jena relapsed on her Oxycottin addiction. I'm not a Tito fan, but I am inclined to believe him over her at this point. Tito has always seemed like a good dude. Jenna has always been bat **** crazy.

It's all hearsay right now but my honest gut reaction was the same as Bowski's and on both parts. She's a porn star/drug addict for pete's sake. To live how they live is insane and done by insane people with serious social problems. She's totally whacked. Tito may be an attention whore but he's never been known as an abuser or law breaker. The fact that he's a fighter indicates plainly that he is violent. However, I don't think it's safe to assume that this is a pattern or even a fact that he hit her at all. Addicts will say anything to hurt someone trying to keep them away from their drugs. Addicts will also make you really want to deck 'em sometimes, no matter how peaceful a person you are. I dated an addict for too long to buy the surface story here right away.

I agree one of the worst stoppages I have seen. The opponent's reaction tells the story.

Catching up on last week's Bellator

So the guy who got screwed here just re-entered the tourny because one guy couldn;t fly in due to the volcano in Iceland. Great move by Bellator.

http://thegarv.com/Exclusive-Jon-Jones-vs.-Vladimir-Matyushenko-Versus-2.html

In another exclusive scoop, we are breaking the news that Jon "Bones" Jones, the rising UFC phenom, will be fighting Vladimir "The Janitor" Matyushenko on the UFC on Versus 2 card slated for August 1st in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Jones is coming off a very impressive performance at the first UFC Versus show last month where he pounded out Brandon Vera in the first round. He'll be looking to keep the buzz going against Matyushenko, who is coming off a decision victory over Eliot Marshall on the Jones vs. Vera undercard.

Sources close to Team Bombsquad have confirmed that the bout is verbally agreed to by both camps and all that's left is for the contracts to be signed.

We'll keep you updated with the details as they develop. Check out this Jones HL video after the jump.

seems like a step back in competition

They want to boost his win column, they want more highlight reel material, they want him to drop more peoples jaws, they want him to mature...

All before fighting for the title. The hype machine is processing Jon Jones at the moment, please forgive any delay.

That said, as we all know, the hype seems to be real.

The kid is 22 years old and in a stacked division. The last thing they need to do with his career is throw him to the wolves.

Agreed, wasn't being sarcastic at all. Make this kid a star. If I were running the UFC I'd do the same thing. Let this guy kick some ass, get more experience and develop an aura for the casual fan to rally around.

i'm taking Machida as well (even though i believe Shogun won the first fight)

the countdown to Machida/Shogun comes on tonight at 11:05pm(est).

its a pretty even matchup. i watched a youtube clip of Shogun breaking down Machida's game and he seems to have a pretty good handle on Machida's style. he almost made it seem as though he would try to get it to the ground more in this fight. he said he though about taking him down the last fight, but felt he was effective with his standup so he didnt feel the need.

this is the first time Machida's in a rematch, it will be interesting to see how someone who's seen his style (and arguably defeated his style) adapts.

I've got Machida stopping Shogun one way or another.I think it will be a hell of a fight though. Neither guy wants it to go to the judges.

Me too. Only because it makes perfect sense that Rua would get robbed the first time only to get KOed the next. :(

By the way, Tito and Jenna are back together. I know you all were worried sick... :)

http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/detail.jsp?contentId=178728

It was starting to turn into a game of he said, she said proved wrong. Now it's a game to see who can backtrack fastest.

You see, the cops investigating the domestic violence allegations against Tito Ortiz this week forgot to call "no take-backs!" before launching their investigation, opening the door for the UFC champ and baby mama Jenna Jameson to take advantage of the time-honored rules of the playground and rescind their dual allegations.

"She is doing nothing," Jameson's attorney Ronald Richards told E! News today of the porn star's plans for legal action, adding that, despite her caught-on-camera vow this week to press charges against Ortiz, she never had any intention to do so.

"Their disagreement was an obvious misunderstanding."

Well, maybe not that obvious, considering the number of days and press interviews it took for them to get their stories straight gain some clarity.

For his part, Richards is selling the story that Jameson "never made any allegations" of domestic abuse about Ortiz, and says that cops acted without any input from the erstwhile star of Zombie Strippers.

"The police arrested him based upon the evidence they uncovered when they came to the residence," he said. "They arrested him on the basis of that information. She is not commenting on that investigation."

Well, maybe just a bit.

Only hours after revealing that she passed a drug test to disprove Ortiz's allegations that she's addicted to OxyContin, Jameson seemed to get quite chatty with TMZ.

"What actually happened has now been dramatically distorted and misinterpreted and remarks that both Tito and I made after the police arrived reflect the state of shock that we were both in," she said.

Ortiz's attorney has echoed the ha-ha-ha-just-kidding stance, meaning we've likely seen the last of his teary confessional press conferences. He's softened up his drug addict allegations by saying that while he did find some pills, he didn't realize that they were old and jumped to conclusions.

Unfortunately for Ortiz, his alleged misdeeds may not go away so easily since, as of right now, the police investigation into the incident remains open.

Yep that's exactly what I was thinking too. There's always the chance that Shogun could go off at some point and KO Machida, but I think Machida's going to have his number this time around and not risk losing (twice :pfft:).

Either way, I seriously doubt this one goes to the judges.

Lesson: Leg kicks are the most underrated weapon in MMA.

Cecil Peoples: leg kicks don't win fights. clearly Faber deserved the decision as his gameplan was to prevent Aldo from using his fast hands and deadly knees therefore i scored the fight 50-45 for Urijah Faber. one of the most beautifully executed gameplans i've had the privilege of watching.

Yeah, nice matchup. I'll go with Lawler.

I'm so psyched for UFC 113. Even the Cote/Belcher matchup has me pumped. I know it's forbidden in hardcore MMA fandom, but I'm really looking forward to seeing Kimbo and Mitrione. The only thing I fear is that they both gas and it looks like two old geezers by the middle of the 2nd round.

I think Koscheck will do the smart thing and take Daley down right away. I know he's universally hated, but I actually like Koscheck. Perhaps it's because I never really pay too much attention to what he says and just enjoy his fighting style.

And with Machida/Shogun the hype is totally flowing through my veins. I can't wait for this ****.
